Yep totally agree LB - I'm not that gutted about Galvin as he was always a gamble that could pay off or could not. I would have been fine either way.
It's more the repeated failure in R&R. We simply never get who we want. That's the big issue. We are a massive, well supported club with excellent finances and the world's best training facilities. If we still can't win our targets then there's something else wrong and it needs fixing. Ideally before we miss our next target or lose our next talent.
If the NRL was a professional organisation they would investigate Gould and the many conflict of interests he has going. He has openly recruited him via his numerous media outlets for the past year. The dogs must also have an unlimited salary cap over there too

Don't hate the player, hate the game. The Dogs management went and got Gus and Ciraldo. They're reaping the rewards. I wish our leadership was that savvy.
We can't whinge our way to success, at some point we've got to start demanding success ourselves.
Gus is known for basically running the NRL behind the scenes. The Bulldogs went and poached him. Smart!
We failed to get Bennett and then retained Mark O'Neill. Dumb!
Cap I mean yes I been trying to tell some on here for years but most couldn't look past the last coach.Your exactly right as soon as Gus got involved with this it was game over for us and the Bennett chase only reiterates what you mention here.
We don't have the pulling power of other clubs it's that simple no matter what spin anyone wants to put on it.I fear until behind the scenes is fully soughted and on track here we are as you say floundering where we are.Yes it's a long way back for us.But basically this is just another kick in the guts for the sleeping giant that's apparently still asleep at the wheel.
But we got Ryles, and I think he is going to prove to be a fantastic coach. He has made a heap of changes and there defintilely seems to be huge improvements in the way Parra play their footy. We have some talented palyers showing their value this season: Iongi, Papalli, Moretti, Tuvati etc, plue a whole heap coming through in the junior system. We have just opened a centre of excellence that looks impressive, from all accounts, and we have a few million to spend on new recruits for next season. So, whilst it is a disappoitment that we missed Galvin, there are still heaps of positives going forward. It took the Bulldogs a few years to get out of the mess, even with Gould, so we need to be patient (something that evey Parra supporter has in spades).
My issue isn't with our team or our coach Ian, it's with our Retention and Recruitment.
Yes, we got Ryles who has been showing good things. But we didn't target Ryles. We targeted Bennett. And we lost. Ryles came to us and all we had to do was say "sure".
We lost Reed. We lost Brown. We lost Sanders. We lost Blaze. Heck we couldn't even offload Matterson when we tried.
I have no issues with Ryles and our juniors. I have massive issues with our Head of Football who has seemingly failed at every major task he's been given for many years now.
We will lose more talent. We will miss out on more opportunities. This will keep happening until something changes.
"Well the NRL and media wouldn't want to spoil Galvins first game as a puppy and with Pinocchio Gould handing out brown paper bags 💰 I'd say a Bulldogs win! Moses hasn't been playing well since being promoted to captain and is injured and is more…"
"Maybe , but that ain't getting him to sign for Canterbury and It ain't taking off. Just add it to the other 10,000 backyard junk brands trying to be the next White Fox. "
" Great inspiration to everyone associated with this club. Hope he has what it takes to become a legend with the Eels. People like him create something you can't artificially create. A heart and soul for the younger generation "

1000% he needs to go and he can take that nuffy we have as CEO with him.
Absolute layup and the cunts fuck it up - as expected.
Agree, he cannot close the deal on high end talent, it's beyond frustrating to constantly see this happen.
Missing out of Galvin isn't the end of the world, but MON is costing us bigtime.

This is on us, not on our competitors.

He still got to have the bullets to fire though IG that's the point really or it's a knife to a gunfight type deal.
Positively and your right about JR defensively the last month we've been #2 in the nrl winning 2 of 4.The teams showing signs.
