We got pumped a couple of times this season , is our playing roster unhappy ? The next few weeks will tell us plenty about their situation. I'm guessing it'll be onwards and upwards as they'll be focused on winning the comp with this talent injection.
The dogs going into this weekend had lost a solitary game with the Galvin contract saga going on got pumped by a team who was in equal last, nearly had 50 put on them .
We got pumped by the premiership favourites and the team currently in 2nd the Raiders ,
It'll have an affect, if Galvin moves to 5/8 it could cause a number of positional changes in an otherwise settled squad.
I don't know what the dynamic is there friendship wise but getting pumped on the weekend by a team that has struggled to win in Sydney suggests it's created issues already .
The media scrutiny hasn't come yet, a couple of losses in a row and there will be a media and fan pile on.
%100 it could go pear shaped for the dogs , it probably won't be a massive fallout but it could snow ball quickly if theyre losing.
Canterbury are relativity new to being a team that knows success , they're going to have these games. Maybe they are shitty , maybe there not. Just sayin , it's a week of disruptions , weather was shit , and they lost to a team that would've been on blast after last week. I think their loss was more a case of them getting a bit ahead of themselves thinking it was one of those games which turning up for 2 points was just a formality. Very Eels like.
Dont get me wrong , I hope this blows up deluxe for them, I just can't see it having the negitive effect we hope for. Gus has sold them all a vision and it's coming to fruition. If he tells them this move will win them a premiership , I feel they'll take his word for it. This will put more wind in their sails .
And their run home is very very favourable for them. They could quite easily finish the season with 2 or 3 losses and that's it.
I'd like to know actually how hard we went for Galvin? Or was it just smoke and mirrors to go after sandon smith or Duffy from the cowboys? It's would have been nice to get him but at what cost
When your head coach mentions on Fox that if available he's interested I'd suggest that we were in there especially with the fact we had lost Sanders Talagi and DB and now failed in this chase id suggest we were in all guns for Galvin 100 % we were.
You know it comes down to pulling power and we don't have it.
Gus and Ciraldo and the Dogs do right now we don't.
Musical chairs and the musics stopped and we are still standing without a chair.
That's fair enough too, but if someone really wants to play for a club then they do. No questions, no if buts or maybes, they come and play. You don't parade around saying it's all about development and not the $$ then start negotiating $$ between clubs

We did through the Dylbags signing saga.

in all honesty there will be a bit of disruption for the first month they may win as many as they lose, but it shouldn't matter closer to finals.
As we've seen though this new generation of footballer has a tendency to be a little precious at times.
I hope they lose 10 in a row and Gus busts his mangina.

In hindsight it was a massive mistake. Guarantee him blowing so early won't happen again.

This will derail the bulldogs season....just wait.
