  • interesting interview....seems like a very simple straight forward man.

You cannot make a talent scout, it is something that is inate, they see things that others dont.

His judgement on Dyllan Brown was very decisive and he rates him the best defensive half he has ever seen.....shame that was not enough for our experts on here  (and that is not a critique of us losing him) just the simple aspects of player judgements we see repeatedly on this site and I presume others just like it......the fans and the public in general are the worst judges, unfortunately they vote with their feet and that's what makes humanity such a difficult game to play.

    • Poppa, I have no issues with the defence of DB; but I have continually said as others no doubt that he was paid on potential alone while at Parra; good luck to him earning the $1 mill plus. Ponga and Luai for example imo have shown a lot more than he has; and I think they have all played a similar amount of NRL games. Brown had the chance to play with Moses also.

      • Agree to disagree Mitchy, I believe he was never quiet appreciated for what he did do....the potential was still ahead of him as he is proving to a point......I wasn't that phased about us losing him, as i thought we may have burn't him out regardless. This observation is proving not true.

Ponga is a very different type of talent and Luai (yes i rate him) has done nothing in his sojourn to the Tigers.

The single thing to put in perspective is that the NZ Test side if they had access to any 5/8 in the world, would choose DB.

    • Dylan Brown can't defend , said not a single person on this website , ever !

But spectacular story , needs more aliens  .

      • Again Wiz, showing your time in jail was wasted when it came to wisdom..... it was not a case of a single person saying he can't defend.....just a case of not appreciating when he did defend in evaluing his overall contribution.

You see Wiz, a wise man would have said he is a fantastic player and is really good for Parra, just wish he could realise more of his ability in attack. Let's hope the coaching and team effort can draw that out.

Was that hard to say Wiz, because your sniping and the effect it may have had on others on here who appreciATE YOUR JUDGEMENT can be effected in their own natural bias of not understanding that they don't understand.

Don't let me distract you in your observations, I think you have more judgement in the game than most, just a poor representation of how to make it.

  • I remember he recruited joel caine at the saints but made a mistake it was danny buderas he was after

    • Not correct,  he talks about that in the interview.  He could only sign one and chose Joel Caine,  he admits buderas would have been a better choice.

      • Joel Caine himself said they thought he was Budearus. They brought him to Saints to play Hooker, when he wasn't playing well they said "Are you home sick?" He said no way. Then they put up video of Taree playing and said how do we get this out of you? He said well to start with that's Danny Budearus not me.

        • Exactly...i was right

          • No, watch the interview,  he said that story is bullshit.

If NSW lose Game 3, which is highly likely without personnel change and a different approach to the attack, surely Daley is toast?
