Interesting sideline in those observations Adam, he sort of implies he was a "failed coach" and so one of the takeaways is that being a top coach in itself doesn't mean your are a top "recruiter" or vice versa......after all those coaches came to him to find players, not soley but singularly as opportunities arose. Bennett's exercise with the Dolphin's being an exception (new club/clean sheet).
In summary, people skills and judgement are his key ingredients. Gould maybe an exception, but I am not sure on the people skills, plenty of cunning, notwithstanding.
Persuasiveness is the key ingredient in Parra's case, mostly you can't teach judgement, only learn by mistakes to enhance same.
