The making of a player

Now I've been against Russell playing first grade, his had moments, BUT that game against the Broncos was a 5 star performance especially marking up against Stagg. That try he scored may well have be a fluke but still needed to execute it, his defence all game and his running mtrs were outstanding. Maybe he did need 50/60 first grade games as some do to realise they belong in the top grade. Whatever happens his confidence will be sky high, and I for one am happy and cheering for him.

      • I don't disagree with you Bluey and I don't know his stats, I generally agree with the comment that he is a fine back up player, a centre that would be 3 to 4 in the pecking order.

I didn't agree that Simmo deserved to be dropped, but then again neither did Russell.  I am more a Penisini fan and could create an argument he probably should not have started ahead of the other 2. Coaches choice and I am not arguing with him....I assume he has reasons for what he did.

        • So you agree with me?

          • It's in my first post here what I believe Russell ultimately is.

  • Seems like he has a good combination with ado carr to, just needs to work on the passing but he's improving. I'm not sure if Bailey gets a spot in the 17 anymore

  • Hold your breath peoples opinions change in a hot minute around here.

As soon as he makes a mistake of has a poor week he'll get thrown under the bus.

We were more at one and sychronized than we have been, and it frustrated the Broncos at times…"
