With Hughes to sign an extension at Storm, Pezet will be able to chase other opportunities. Could be a target with Ryles history at Storm and is a natural half, long injury history so probably wouldn't cost a heap but would most likely start next to Mitch if eels go that route. Thoughts ?

I know it's Newcastle but didn't they offer pest dome ridiculous amount before he signed again with the clauses . I would say given that there would be bidding war for him
Damaged his knee again since then, I think he's at a point he needs to establish himself in the nrl but I'm sure a few clubs will call. Starting role next to Mitch Moses has to be enticing but
Defence would be a major concern for me
I'd say if the signing happens he'd have to battle Hawkins Joash for the spot to. Not really sure what level Pezet is at because hasn't played nrl in so long really
What makes you think he was start ahead of the obvious alternatives. Volkman fits the same category as well.
These blokes are not chess pieces to fill a place, we need a significent 5/8 that is capable of doing Moses job if he is injured. I believe that Hawkins is a definite candidate to fill in for Moses, but defensively he doesn't offer something as is permanent 5/8 partner. Douehi is the guy or Campbell and Sandon Smith seems out of the running.
I am making the assumption that Isaac Moses came in with an over the top offer for Douehi, but I suspect he is the target we eventually want. Getting another back up is not the answer.
A solid nrl 6 would be the preference yeah, they don't seem interested in Sandon. Douhieh I'm not sure what's happening and Campbell would be unreal if that happens. TMM might be the most realistic ?
Marie Martin would be a dissaster, once upon a time he had enormous potential. But we are going backwards with these guys, why are you so desperately searching through the dead wood? Its what makes us second rate....objective quality is what you want and need Eli.
Question to EA if he is reading this crap, what level are our Twidles and Taitani's in comparison with say Blaize Talagi last year and Galvin this year?
Yeah it's more just someone who can at least play nrl for a year or two while those younger guys develop. He's probably best available to step in immediately unless Jayden Campbell gets thrown to us somehow 😂
I have not watched enough of Talataina really.
But if Twidle comes into first grade now I don't think he'll do that much worse than Talagi did for us last year, if at all.
That's the point I am making Yehez, no point in chasing these guys through reserve grade, good players do not learn much in Reserve Grade. Reserve grade helps soldiers not officer material!.
