  • The Eels shirt that the kid is wearing in the below photo is actually the new Eels medical garment worn by children undergoing treatment.

Supertee is proud to announce the launch of the Parramatta Eels Supertee, a new children’s medical garment designed in the colours of one of rugby league’s most passionate and iconic clubs.

This marks the first time a Supertee has featured an official professional sports design, made possible through the generous support of Parramatta Leagues Club and the wider Eels community.

Crafted from soft, breathable cotton, every Supertee is designed to support comfort, dignity and improved medical access during hospital care. The garment is compatible with MRI and PET scans and allows nurses and carers to dress and support children without disconnecting tubes, wires or monitors.

Supertee garments are gifted free of charge to children in hospitals locally and across Australia. Supertee founder Jason Sotiris first created the garment after his daughter Angela received treatment at Westmead Hospital in 2018.

“Supertee started here. Now we’re returning with something that carries community pride and team spirit into the hands of kids who need it most. This is not just about a shirt — it’s about helping children feel supported, confident and connected.

“Research shows that children who feel supported by their community often experience greater emotional resilience throughout treatment. A sense of belonging through a shared identity can make a hospital stay less overwhelming and more hopeful,” added Sotiris.

This important initiative has been supported through a Community ClubGRANT from Parramatta Leagues Club (Parra Group), along with additional sponsorship.

The PARRA Group is recognised as the largest provider of community funding in the City of Parramatta via the Community ClubGRANTS program, with PARRA Group CEO Chris Dimou emphasising the Group's commitment to supporting meaningful local initiatives.

“Our community is at the heart of everything we do. The Eels Supertee is an initiative we’re incredibly proud to support, and we hope it brings smiles to the faces of children who deserve it most,” Dimou said.

With the launch of the Parramatta Eels Supertee, Supertee will continue gifting garments to children in hospitals nationwide. This initiative also paves the way for future collaborations with other clubs and sporting codes.
