Current Perth Bears GM of football David Sharpe has not ruled out making a play for Zac Lomax, saying if the clause is cleared by Parramatta they would pursue him. Well issue is David you have nothing to offer us in order to waive the clauses. It is not like Sydney Roosters coming to us and saying they want Lomax and we can say we want Victor Radley in return for example. They would have nothing to give us. Now in 2028 could they as they have a roster and are a year in? Perhaps but wouldn't they just wait for another year and get him when his deal ends in 2029?

Ryles was happy for him to go. Id say the clause was more in place to save us getting shit on when this thing fell through for 2026 and he hypthetically signed with the Roosters for unders. If he signs with Perth for 2027 the club wont care.
