Longi is doing just fine in a badly beaten team, I reckon we will see even more from him once (if) the team starts winning with moses back.
Also interesting Josh Ado Carr and Matterson not named in NSW cup either.

Hawkins had to come back into first grade this week due to Volkman "train and trial deal only" didnt get an NRL dispensation to play first grade with Hawkins no longer injured. Read into that what you like.
Why wouldn't they put Bailey straight in makes no sense

I think Lomax to Wing is inevitable. But not much to look into it Hawkins was playing regardless this week.
Hopefully the Fox is good to go, if so he will start and his experience and energy will help. I know little of Hawkins but here's hoping he plays out of his skin and makes the most of the opportunity. I feel for him though, he will be playing behind the weakest front row in the competition and if DB continues his poor form he will have no help from the other half. It's an unconvincing team list that highlights the lack of depth we have!
On a positive note, dogs are without Burton and Kikau, and we move one week closer to Moses returning.
Hawking was a pretty average reserve grader at south's and didnt really shine with cody next to him so I doubt Dylbags is going to help him shine. I think we are in for a tough sunday arvo again, this will be the 3rd Sunday ch9 game in a row plus next week against manly. For god sake can they put us on at 6pm on a Friday when no one is watching
They should put us on at lunchtime on Monday on channel 5A
Hawkins average reserve grader at Souths, you do realise in '23 he was the NSW cup player of the year.
That's the worry and I kinda agree with Wiz here if he was that and he had a future why let him walk.What I do suspect they have someone better in the wings and maybe they see this guy as at his ceiling which is fine but I feel hes depth at best like Volkman and Asi before him.
They also let Illias walk before this guy also so there churning 7s until they find the right guy and have been very clear in doing so.There's a real shortage of class halves in the nrl.We are about to lose one but have locked up the other.
