* the player has already been mentioned in recent articles linking him with Parramatta

+ id say the signing is almost certainly a back, although we have two props out for the year so maybe a middle

+ the rumour i heard was from a recent podcast from an eels fan site .

Who could it be ?

  • Connor Watson apparently on the outtet at rosters. Would be a handy lock so that he and walker can split the middle half role and take a bit of pressure off the taletina. Never rated him as an origin level player but he is versatile and would suit our footy style well

    • I think it's all wishful thinking 🙄

    • He's off to Manly to start at 9

      • That makes more sense LB, he is a player you would like to have but a bench utility surprisingly enough is not what we need. Shame unlike Parra supporter I thought he offered a lot to the Blues at Origin Level....really knows how to come on and spark up a side. He could play 5/8 and do a great job, but again he would not suit our development plans. How brave are we?.....we should be desperate enough if not brave enough? He would be the equivalent buy that Dyllan Walker  was to us at the same time last year....makes you think doesn't it?

PS He defending at 5/8 would be giving us back Dyllan Brown defensive options and bring our defence back to where it was at the end of last year.

  • Lomax

  • Tevita Naufahu

    • Is that what your hearing? He any good? Haven't seen him play

      • Young and fast, good under the high ball, plays wing/centre/fullback.....perfect purchase if he is good enough, he has played bit through Dolphins, NZ School boy Rugby International, he is only 20 years old and you would get him for peanuts.

He is the type of player we have not focussed on, even knowing we have little coming  through the juniors in outside backs. I am very critical of recruitment not going after more players with his type of credentials.

Face value we can't judge him yet, but Coryn will be delighted if we are actually looking at him.....not sure of the loan situation though, but he has plenty of outside backs to compete with at Dolphins.

  • According to Code Sports, the Roosters have just told Watson that if he can find a long-term deal at another team they would give him their blessing to leave early.
