SPENCER LENIU PRETTY MUCH COMFIRMED

🚨 SPENCER LENIU TO PARRAMATTA? 🚨

Spencer has reportedly bought a house in North Kellyville and is married to Sam Loizou’s sister who is  also a Parramatta junior, and her parents live in the area and are massive Parra supporters.

What do you guys think—could he be making the move to the Eels? 👀

                • I think they used the term 'honky', rather than 'cracker' 😋

  • Isn't there a rumour that Stefano was also looking for a house in Kellyville.

  • So what! That' means nothing!

  • Spencer Leniu’s move to NRL rivals Parramatta is expected to be given the green light once his finals commitments with the Sydney Roosters are completed, as the club closes in on signing Cronulla prop Braden Uele.

Months of protracted talks between Leniu’s camp and the Eels are expected to culminate in the firebrand finally moving to Parramatta next season, despite having 12 months left on his contract at Bondi.

It comes as the Roosters are set to sign Uele, who is without a contract for next season, on a one-year deal.

Uele would become just the second free agent the Roosters have signed for next season, having agreed to terms with Manly outside back Reuben Garrick last year.

Leniu joins a high-profile list of departures at season’s end for the Roosters, including Angus Crichton and Mark Nawaqanitawase to rugby union, Connor Watson to St George Illawarra before he joins the PNG Chiefs, and Daly Cherry-Evans, who has signed with Hull FC in the UK Super League.

Veteran winger Daniel Tupou, 35, is expected to be given a one-year contract extension.

Meanwhile, Leniu will join his former Penrith premiership-winning teammate Jarome Luai at the Eels from next season. Leniu, Luai and fellow Samoan international Jaydn Su’A will provide some much-needed experience to assist a young Parramatta line-up.

Leniu’s temper and discipline came under scrutiny following a brain snap against South Sydney last Friday night when he gave away a penalty for throwing the ball away and shaping up to Rabbitohs rival Keaon Koloamatangi, despite having earned a six-again.

Leniu was substituted in the 31st minute and didn’t return, despite being one of the most senior players in a Roosters team that rested 10 players.

Uele played two of the first four games of this season, but was not seen in first grade again until round 23. The 31-year-old has been left out of Cronulla’s side to take on North Queensland in their elimination final at Allianz Stadium on Saturday night.

Uele, who has played one international game for both New Zealand and Samoa, has been a mainstay of Cronulla’s forward pack in recent years. However, he has managed just four top grade performances this year and instead spent the majority of the season in NSW Cup with Cronulla’s feeder club, Newtown.

He played under-20s at the Roosters in 2013-14 before following his former NYC coach Paul Green to North Queensland.

    • Cool, now who's next after him.

      • Ryles said a centre and a prop for 2027. If Leniu is that prop, I'd be trying to get Izack Tago from the Panthers

    • How many years?

  • So forward pack looking decent now. Sam Tuavati and Teacum Brown both making huge strides this year.  Jack Williams spoken about for origin. Junior for another year adds experience and Hopgood and Doorey to make their return.

Just need to fix up our backline. Need big fast outside backs.

  • I'm hearing it's only a 1 year deal! The main reason he's coming is so he can be with ex teammate Luai! 🤣🤣 what a total waste of money for both of them! They'll just both sit back for a 12 month sabbatical and pick up some nice pocket money

"All the rhetoric not the least Braith Anasta, Pezets manager said on 360 last year when he was signed, that it was an amazingly low contract and he is doing it for the experience. Parra got him very cheap.
