I know they are made public in a lot of other sporting organistations around the world such as EPL, NFL and NBA.
Should all cubs in NRL make players wages public?
The one thing it will eliminate is innuendo as to how a club could afford certain players and rosters. It will also inform fans as to exactly what their club have spent on players for the year and how much room we have in the cap
On another note, i know i would want my wages to be made public but then again, i am not a professional sportsman who is constantly in the public eye.

It could be done without putting names up and be endorsed by the NRL auditors.
The possible problem with displaying personal income in the public domain is the sleeze bags who would attempt to get their hands on some "free" cash.
It could set players up as targets for these types.
How much I earn is nobody else's business but mine and my employers.
Firstly, despite the fact that each team would have the same number of points to spend, it doesn't solve the problem of clubs paying more than they can afford for their 'marquee' players and run the risk of going bankrupt. For example, let's take one of the News Limited puppets Melbourne or Brisbane. Let's say Brisbane want to buy Josh Dugan - who is rated at 20 points. The Raiders and Broncos both have the same number of points free, so can both legitimately accommodate him, however, the Raiders can only afford to pay him $400k per year while the Broncos (courtesy of News' endless pit of money) can offer $650k. What does Dugan do??
Secondly, you raise the spectre that is ever-present in the AFL's 'Draft' whereby the bottom placed teams - who won't play finals - can ease up a bit and so as their teams get top picks in the following year's draft. What's to say if we were struggling next year, we don't pick Jacob Loko because we don't want him to get too high a rating and thus be more difficult to retain?
Finally, how do you give the players their ratings? What if they're injured for much of the year and have an unrealistically high or low rating? And who compiles the ratings?? The number of inter-club stinks based on controversy over ratings would be huge - so much so that I could see a club taking the entire NRL to Court and applying for an injunction to halt the competition whilst a club attempted to resolve a player rating dispute.
