Galvin dropped by dogs.

Happened a lot sooner then I thought it would, but wheels already falling off at belmore. At least he can develop up in the coaches box

  • 🐂 💩

Late Mail: Lachlan Galvin has been dropped with Jaeman Salmon returning at lock and Kurtis Morrin joining the bench. The Bulldogs explained the call: “Galvin not playing is a tactical decision - needed another forward on the bench as cover with Max King backing up from Origin and Jaeman Salmon returning from injury,” the Bulldogs said.

  • lol, they're backpedimg showing the team hes gotta earn his spot. Definitely unrest going on there .  Gus would be praying for a key injury that forces him into the lineup.

    • Could this lead to a crack like Ivan and Gus? Gus wants Galvin and Ciraldo says no?

  • Galvin looked pretty pissed off coming on after the game. Made the wrong choice buddy. You joined a cut throat Club of lies and broken promises under Gould. Just ask Mahoney and a plethora of others!

  • I think the Dogs may have made an intial recruitment mistake...look I get it for the long term Galvin will most likley be a pay off...but for 2025 all i can see is disruption and team disharmony .....BUT I thought this was a Parra website but then again I created one about Kieren Foran lol.....Galvin is 19 not sure that he is the next Brad Fittler but he has talent that will pay off for the dogs eventually ....Unfortunately he didnt want to be an eel

  • To be fair im not sure where he would play in our lineup this year as well. This signing for both clubs was always about 2026 and beyond

  • Good old karma, it can be a real bitch. I don't mind watching Gould's world crash and burn. Galvin will develop into a good player, but at the moment he's like a spanner in the works.

  • The Dogs gained success this year after 3 years of coaching by Ciraldo that was an "in the trenches, knock em down, in your face" style of football. Then Ciraldo has Galvin presented to him and that is the antithesis of his game. So to acommodate his shiny new toy, he has to sell half his spine to accommodate him and ompletely gut the sucessful game plan that he has taken 3 years to put together. Mahoney and Sexton were both great last night WITHOUT Galvin. Back to the formula that works for them...... and then 19 year old Galvin is placed in the coaches box....you don't think that would be pissing players off?

Galvin has made a monumental mistake not coming to the Eels where he would have just quietly slipped into 5/8, with Brown to centres and absolutely no pressure. So is he just a puppet on a string for his manager? Did his family advise him to go to Dogs?

    • Plus it will turn into a similar scenario as Penrith. Paul Kent told the story of Gould telling Cleary he will be releasing Koroisau in order to keep Segeyaro. Cleary said that's not a good idea as Koroisau is cheaper, better and the future. The next day driving to Penrith training from the Northern Beaches, Cleary heard over the radio that Koroisau had been granted a release to join Manly.

This is the thing Gould does, he has the flavour of the month and gets rid of the old toys as they are boring now and creates space for his new toys by putting the coach in a situation where he needs to play them, i.e. Sexton told there is no contract, Galvin has to play 7 now.

It is a case of him giving the coach things he does not ask for and if the coach cannot or will not make it work then they are on the list to get rid of. Ciraldo showed balls to do what's best for the team and drop Galvin and let him earn his stripes but if he leaves him out longer, Gould for sure will butt in and ask why. The talk was "Ciraldo was the one who wanted him and orchestrated the deal" I do not believe that. I reckon Gould said to Ciraldo "Want Galvin?" Ciraldo of course would say yes but where do we fit him. Even if Ciraldo said nah all good happy with what we have and develop Woods, Gould would have signed Galvin anyway.

It will be the same with Tino, They have Max King and Leo Thompson for next year. Also Kikau and Preston on the edge. They have players like Burton, Crichton, Tupouniua and Kikau already on big money, they released Mahoney fair but they need to extend King, Preston, Xerri, Mann, Kiraz all whom are consistent FG players and/or playing Origin. Also need a Fullback still and Galvin on big money and signed Finau Latu to long term deal and he would have been seen as future starter at Lock but if Tino signs he will be 13.

They will offload some decent players; i reckon likes of Curran, Hayes, Salmon, Hughes who could be moved on to accommodate Tino. Added is juniors like Todd, Underhill and Spinks who are top talents, signed long term and paths are blocked with Thompson, King and Tino as well Finau holding up spots. Maiu'u is now getting told to look elsewhere months after signing a two-year deal.

If i was Parramatta, i would 100% talking to a few Dogs players and seeing their interest. I would take the likes of Curran, Hayes, Underhill, Todd and Spinks.
