Interesting bench, going for a bit more mobility and obviously looking for a bit more second phase play to break down the Riff - both Matto and Carty can do that for us ... LETS GO PARRA
What's the value of having both Will and Carty?
Papa and Matto can play middle or edge. Will can play 9 or back.
Would like to see one more big middle forward - eg. Oregon for Carty.
Agree - Oregon for Carty. Never know, it could still happen....
Oregon and Carty are two very different players. I am struggling to see us beat the Panthers with our "chase the collision style" which Oregon brings. (presuming both teams bring their best game) Carty could just bring an X factor that we may need to produce to get past them. Again it can be rocks and diamonds with Carty and unfortunately we havent seen too many diamonds. I'm torn....
I agree. Carty has his faults, but he brings the surprise element with him when he comes on. You need that in a semi. Also brings second phase. Hopefully he fires up against his old team, for how ever long he gets, which probably won't be long.
I haven't seen Carty play well against Penrith yet, even when he was with the Titans. He's got something to prove against his old club but he tightens up and usually overplays his hand. He needs to do exactly what BA asks of him and he'll be fine.
Shaun Lane is a liability. Who agrees?
Nah
100%
Yeh I get Ben smith yips every time he is on
he has been a bit better lately
