Not sure who you guys think should be getting the lion share of the minutes but I think Ryles is cutting smith minutes a bit much. Da Silva is a good injection for 30-35 minutes but would like to see more of Ryley smith. Maybe both can be on the field at the same time at stages but that might be a next season thing

Da Silva looks like he is going to be a classy dummy half whereas Smith is just a little terrier. I think the way ryles is using them at the moment is fine but once da Silva gets more experience i think he will eventually overtake Smith. Having said that I think Smith will e a first grader for some time to come, it's a win, win for the eels.
Yep TDS has more upside so as long as he fixes his defence, he will pass Smith as a dummy half. But I believe if Smith develops like Brandon Smith then his value increases a lot
Tds has the much better passing game and both have great attributes. Could be whomever has a few niggles may get less minutes on that weekend.
Was a short turn around also on Thursday night. Smith got more minutes against the donkeys
I like both i like smith starting then put Da Silva on i like it
But i like to see both on the feild at the same time in close game like last night in last 20mins
Smith has made some bad errors just after the 30 minute mark most weeks (fatigue). So replacing just before this seemed to work this week but he needed to be on for the last 15 when we could have won. Neither hooker ran enough in this game which for me is the one problem when Moses is playing. We also lacked a good fast 5/8th. The forwards are also not working together when near the line but perhaps also fatigue with 5 repeat sets.
Turn smith into a ball playing lock/ hooker.
Hopgood strictly prop forward.
lock shared between walker/ smith
This should be the end game for sure, hope it ends up like that
Agree with you Eli.
Thought we really needed Ryley's energy and defence out there with about 20min to go last night. When we've had to work as hard as we did last night, we desperately needed his energy as a motivator.
was he possibly injured?
I was thinking towards the end of the game to get Smith back on. I think he is better placed to spark something, and TDS is there for his crisp service in the middle of the game.
TDS will be a lot better behind a physical pack and a consistent quick ruck that's they key for him.He looks to scoot when there's only one marker and bodies on the ground.Hes nuanced enough to catch lazy markers who aren't square. All that has to happen is we get that equity in the middle of the park and there's enough there to suggest he's got a decent future moving foward.
