I did think the Titans would smash us without our starting halves as that is what the norm is.
We are playing a bit better than last year but we are still anchored firmly in the bottom 4.
I will give Ryles some credit but most new coaches go through a honeymoon period but there is winning and there is winning.
We are winning the occasional game here and there but we are far far far from being consistent.
Yes we are suffering injuries but other teams seem to manage their injuries far better than us and keep finding a way to win.
At one stage, Penrith were at the very bottom of the table but are now in the top 8 while we are equal 2nd last.
For me, that's not winning.
Hopefully with time and better learning off Ryley's coaching methods, improvements will come. We still need shoring up in the forwards particularly the front row
Lot of these cheaper contracts are going to be needed to be upgraded so that will take up some of the cap. Iongi Kautago Ryley smith need upgrades for sure. But we should still have money for a few signings
Yeah I love the style of play we are seeing from this Parra team. It's entertaining to watch and a breath of fresh air compared to Parra of the past few years.
I think there are a lot of diamonds amongst this group of players, namely Iongi, Williams and Smith.
And I'll add, if we aren't yet, we need to be locking Iongi up long term - and by long term I mean min 4 years before his asking price explodes.
Frank the Tank, So right about locking up Iongi for 4 years+. In some ways he reminds me of Tedesco when her first started. Will be a much better full-back than Gutho ever was.
Our juniors system is stacked with diamonds atm.
One thing I wouldn't mind that we should be looking to extend Iongi past 2027. Id be hoping we start negotiations asap, and lock him in until 2030 at least
