Good interview. Seems like Ryles is happy with the status quo.
That might buy him another year or two at most. If I were him I'd be as active as I can in the player market.
Our jnrs will get pillaged once we have another two clubs come in, so he shouldnt be resting on his laurels - we don't have another 10 years like BA had.

Club is already locking up juniors long term. My understanding is we have more signing extensions coming down the pipeline beyond the introduction of the new clubs.
"Lock up" in the NRL means SFA and you know it. Unless these juniors are guaranteed top 30 or starting spots in their favourite positions they'll agitate for a release whenever they want ... invariably they'll get it
Under the old regime that was a strong possibility, a small group of players signed on irresponsible contracts of course is going to deter youth from remaining at the club. Ryles said it himself that we are prioritizing opportunities from within amongst our youth. This is the way forward.
Still doesn't stop them wanting out of their contract though and doesn't mean they're gonna turn out to be any good. For every 10 great SG Ball players there is 0.5 good FG players.
If you keep looking at that way in your mind it's not worth trying. The development space has been Parra's strength in that past you keep echoing why can we not revisit that space. Why is it out of the realms of possibility to do so.
Kautoga just extended and I'd say there will be others coming. We have to play to our strengths not try and mimic what others are doing. I'm not sure of your source quoting that statistic but I'm confident Ryles knows what he's doing.

"Oh yes silly me how dare I Kendoza. So I had a point last week when I said Penisini and Smith got a week on their suspensions for being Parra players."
"Im taking the piss PG lol
I still cant believe Souths cant play there... the fact that the roosters have such a grip on the stadium baffles.
Knowing our lot, they'd try and pull that at Commbank and end up booted themselves and have to play out at…"

Could just say 1 in 20
That's what it is now we have to hope we can improve on that.
Hope ....our club's record in this regard is appalling. We need more than hope.
