Was anyone a bit surprised by Mataele's defense vs Dogs? He definitely crunched a few Dogs. Checked his stats and at 188cm + 108kg, he is the same size as Teacum Brown and a bigger unit than Doorey or Moretti. I think only Tuivati is bigger (191cm, 121kg)?
Teancum Brown seems to have dropped down the pecking order.
I think people are forgetting or are unaware that this year Brown's first year of playing against grown men. He only played one game of nsw cup last year in which he got injured in. Was his first NRL pre-season too. Give him sometime he is only 22.
I don't think you rush these players in yet, they'll get in and realise you are actually playing men and not boys anymore.

Yea well, why waste hitting people in reserve grade?
Because smashing opposition forwards in reserve grade is the surest means of showing you can smash players?
Some players play better against better opposition. Maybe he's that type of player? Dunno enough about him really. Loved his bone-crunchers though. Will it continue?
