NRL limit on contact training

"All 17 NRL clubs were informed on the eve of the season that their players are to engage in no more than 100 minutes on a regular seven-day turnaround." to limit brain injury....I think it includes wrestling.

Was there previously an NRL limit? 100 min is less than I thought would be required

  • This is only for in-season. I'd imagine that in-season they reduce the amount of contact they're doing compared to the pre-season to limit injuries.

"Ennis has now left the Dragons. I didn't realise he was the attack coach. Yikes!!!! The Dragons attack was easily the worst in the NRL. Worst attack I'd seen in some years. Poor old Ennis just ruined whatever coaching aspirations he had. "
