No Kemla* - Team list day v manly

This should be our team list vs Manly im hoping.  Williams and Guymer both did a great job against the Dogs.  We cannot go with Kelma Tuilagi back in the starting 13.  We looked much better with Moretti starting and Williams out wider.  Both Williams and Guymer have a higher work rate than both Kelma and Kit kat and it showed against the Dogs

Saxon Pryke another great debutant, and another with a high work rate may have cemented a bench spot for the remainder of 2026.  In the centres Araz Nava made a fist of it and I would retain him in the centres with Penasini,  with Russell to come back onto the wing.

I would also keep Mataele in the 17, keeping out Kelma who imo drops out of the 19 completely.  Kelma on his day can be a devastating ball runner,  but he's too inconsistent and one or two good games means nothing in this competition

Also Debelin starts. Walker much better off the bench.  Debelin adds size from the start.

  • Did you mean 14. Walker?

  • Guymer killed it in the back row at the end of last year too.

    • agree jack

    • His defence has always been gritty but his offense didn't give us a lot of metres or line breaks. Bu,t he turned that around last week by hitting and spinning off every run and getting a quick play the ball like Cam Murray does. That gave us a few good attacking opportunities through the game. It will be even better against an average Sea Eagles pack.

      • He was hitting and spinning last year too. He gets elbows and knees on the ground and gets a quick play the ball. He should be out Lock moving forward.

        • Can he ball play though? I see him as more of a mobile defender without the agression and mongrel that Liam Martin or Hudson Young have.

  • is nanva allowed to play before kelly due to not being in the top 30?

  • Assuming 14 is Walker. Team list looks good.

If Ryles can make sure Jr and JDB did what they did against Dogs, then that's a good line up. Just give them a simple job: run hard and direct, no bullshit offloads. Tackle with venom.

Same goes for Dylan Walker. Cut out those low percentage hospital passes.

I liked what I saw of Pryke. Add another 5kg of muscles and I think he would go alright. Maybe Williams should take him under his wings in the gym sessions.

Nava deserves to keep his spot over Kelly.
