OUTs: Kelma Tuilagi, Kitione Kautoga, Sam Tuivati

Referee: Liam Kennedy

Centre Sean Russell returns from concussion so Brian Kelly moves to the wing and last week's debutant Araz Nanva slides to the interchange. Charlie Guymer and Jack Williams are the new second-rowers in place of Kelma Tuilagi (head knock) and Kitione Kautoga. The loss of bench forward Sam Tuivaiti (head knock) sees Saxon Pryke join the bench for his NRL debut. Prop Toni Mataele has also been added to the bench as he chases a second NRL appearance after debuting in Round 11 last year.

      • Goddamm, I didn't know this. What a terrible hire.

      • Seriously😂 why would anyone with an ounce of common sense hire a trainer from the team last year that won the Wooden Spoon. 😅😂 No wonder the Eels players this year seem totally unfit and exhausted. What sort of people are running this club

      • Was at the tigers the year 2024. Gooooo Parra

    • You can't be too reactive to this situation or you end up fucking your cap for the next couple of years making short term decisions. I do think we need players, but we need to make sure we're bringing in players that have value beyond this injury phase.

  • We need the guys in the know to tell us more about Pryke    All I know is that he's a middle.  A taller mobile prop  - don't know much else

Mataele started the season way behind Teancum Brown but now is ahead it seems.  Mataele started as a reserve for reserve grade.

Why isn't Funa iuta at least on the bench or starting in the second row.  Guymer isn't a second rower. Too slow and lacks mobility.

Debelin- please.  He's been the worst signing since Chris Sandow but still ahead of Brown

    • Debelin needs to start and soak up there attack can tackle

      • Agree. JDB starts for Walker even if its for 15min before they make the cub.

    • Pryke is just a workhorse. He won't do much in attack but will tackle a shark if swimming in the ocean.

Funa-Iuta probably is one that Ryles doesn't want to throw to deep end.

      • Also Guymer has done a job in the second row before and the middles on the bench are better players that Jez at this point of his career.

    • pretty sure its to do with top 30 and development players having to be used before round 10, what a clusterf*ck
