So i saw a post on FB similar so i will just copy here and get your suggestions.
Who are we playing in Round 1? As mentioned in the post, women's Asian Cup is on during that time with 6 games booked between March 6-10. So Round 1 we will be away. Now we can take out a few who we definately wont be playing.
Penrith - Commbank home too
Canterbury - Vegas
St. George Illawarra - Vegas
Newcastle - Vegas
North Queensland - Vegas
Gold Coast - Stadium used for Asian Cup
Wests Tigers - more likely Easter Monday, if we are to verse them away it would be at Commbank
So that leaves
Canberra
Manly
Dolphins
Brisbane
Cronulla
Melbourne
Souths
Sydney
Warriors
All away. Who do you think we get and who would you prefer to play? I reckon either Roosters or Broncos. I wouldn't mind versing Broncos straight up. Manly at Brooky maybe, something not right there. Do we want a big travel out of the way and maybe go Canberra or Warriors?
The bye is another option which would be weird as never experienced it. I don't know i would rather use a bye into the season to use the full effects of it. Any byes between Rounds 1-5 are useless i feel.

Thats true
Parra Vs Broncos round 1 at Suncorp. They'll want to draw all the tv viewers in on a Friday night for that game.
Yeah true, arguement could be Brisbane rate well regardless whoever, could be Dolphins or Roosters or Souths but Parra slightly more, particularly with our fan base in Queensland.
The base is OK its the fans that are the problem.....everyone up here is now a Broncos fan with a picture of Reece lightning across the ceiling.......
In the last 10 years, every time we've lost the first round, we've missed the finals, every time we've won the first round, we've made the finals (except 1 year) Not saying our season hinges on the first round but please just don't make us play Melbourne again!
What a great stat. Considering statistically speaking teams who lose round 1 are more likely to win the GF.
Since 2005, 10 GF winning teams have won in Round 1. So 10/21.
Yeah but, we're just special like that, why would we be doing the same thing everyone else does?!
Though if you stretch that to 25 years, since 2001,
2001 - won - finals
2002 - won - finals
2003 - lost - no finals
2004 - lost - no finals
2005 - won - finals
2006 - lost - finals
2007 - lost - finals
2008 - win - no finals
2009 - lost - finals
2010 - lost - no finals
2011 - win - no finals
2012 - lost - no finals
2013 - win - no finals
2014 - win - no finals
2015 - win - no finals
2016 - loss - no finals
2017 - win - finals
2018 - loss - no finals
2019 - win - finals
2020 - win - finals
2021 - win - finals
2022 - win - finals
2023 - lost - no finals
2024 - win - no finals
2025 - lost - no finals
So sort of a pattern but bit all over the place.
See now you've just blown my theory out of the water & i'm going to have to go back & find other anomolies like, what colour undies they were wearing on game day, how many times did they go to the toilet the day before & did any of them play in white boots! You've created a whole more work for me.
Either way, i'm still praying for NO MELBOURNE
I think Melbourne is safe. 2 out of last 3 years. Unless a rivalry they normally don't do back to back games like that round 1 at same venue. Particularly when we played them in 2023.
