Peter Nolan was our former recruitment manager, before heading back to the Bronoco's (Peter Sharp now holds this position) Nolan was responsible for the discovery of Semi Radradra, Tepai Moeroa, Manu Ma'u, Kenny Edwards and was instrumental in the signing of Corey Norman due to their relationship at the Broncos. A very impressive list, five genuine candidates for selection in the top 17 each week.
We have recruited established players for 2016 in Kieran Foran, Beau Scott and Michael Gordon, these players were obviously not signed through the work of Peter Sharp.
I would be interested to know which unheralded players we have signed on the advice of Peter Sharps astute recruitment eye, that will be the next Semi Radradra, Tepai Moeroa, Manu Ma'u or Kenny Edwards? After all, this is what a recruitment manager is paid to do.

Anthony Field is really in charge of looking at the young talent coming through. But once again Nolan picked up probably one of the best prospects in our Harold Matthews team this year, hopefully we are able to hold onto young Travis. Field did sign up Jesse Cronin from Newcastle and he's definitely one we can hold onto for a while. Even though our 16's failed to produce the goods in the grand final they were still the best team in the competition by far, they just need to be put into more pressure situations so they know how to turn a game when it isn't going their way.
I reckon we've picked a good one up in Mason Cerruto. Only seen him play one game but I like what he has to offer and think he could be a decent asset to our centre stocks in the future. There were even some Tigers fans massively disappointed when they heard he came to us as they rated him having talent similar to James Tedesco.
Finals matches are just about luck on the day, especially in kids' footy. A better gauge of team talent is where the team finishes on the table, including for-and-against.
But in Harold Matthews, only a fraction of those kids (even the best ones) are any chance of ever playing first grade. The rest are just there to make up the numbers. A team could dominate the comp one year and still only have two or three players go on to play 100 NRL games.
Cleal is nothing without the Parramatta district. Even now at the Dogs he's offering big money to our 14's and 15's to be a part of their development squad.
Peter Sharp is OK he has a good sense of a footballer. I hope he turns that into the persuasive art of recruitment.
