Seems like every week there are good quality players coming onto the market or that are available that would add something to our team and roster but we aren't seeming to be as active in the player market as we were earlier this year. EG Keon. Barnett
Has anyone heard anything or have any news on any potential signings for 2027 /2028 we may look at? I still believe there is the basis of a very good football side at the Eels but we defintely need 1 or 2 additions of quality players at the absolute least

But we can't have it both ways, there's another recent blog calling for transparency and accountability. I think some are just completely out of touch with reality.
It makes little sense to demand the club document publicly their every effort? Which clubs telescope their every interest? That seems like a recipe to show your hand as early as possible, which would lose almost every card game except lay down misere in 500, where the point is to lose every trick.
Your a wise man Daz. If you were a voting member, you may be, i'm only guessing for this reply. Wouldnt you want to know if there is failure at some level. There may not be, but wouldn't you like to know if there was. Secondly wouldn't you want to know what was done to rectify it. It's all subjective of course, as its the great unknown at the moment, however the roster we continue to assemble suggests something is amiss somewhere. The timing of the club clueing us in, I guess can also be subjective and at the clubs discretion, that's fair enough i would think.
You are right Daz, and the frustration I am assuming comes from the injury list and assumption on the ones we have missed out on. Time will tell what and who comes on board.
The frustration also comes from the club knowing pre-season that we limited stock....

Being open, transparent and accountable for failures is just as important as hearing of the success's. Members/fans/supporters deserve both. I've never asked to be notified of whom they are actively targeting. However we should know of the failures afterwards. How else are people supposed to be informed when it comes time to vote for our leaders that select and Hire the CEO;s / Managers.
Id love to have what comes accross a daydream attitude Adam, i really would. Walking around not knowing what you don't want to know would be very peaceful. I seriously envy that. I'm just not built that way. It's a shame sometimes.
It wouldn't surprise if Sarantinos and O’Neill are on a 5 star Vegas familiarisation trip right now, rather than be hard at work fixing recruitment.

I'm ok with looking at it all at years end. If players start getting signed by other clubs more and more then I'll start reacting like most here.
Like we are all reacting, myself included, differently and negatively over certain reports. Let's see what they do as who knows what they might already have signed.
I mean let's say Jenkins, Timoko, Xerri and the likes all either stay or sign elsewhere, ok I'll be concerned earlier.
Though this club needs just one signing for now to keep the peace. Like announcing Jenkins for example will have many here feel a little more at ease. Announcing two at once like for example Jenkins and Leniu, that will put a lot of uneasy minds to rest for a little bit.
Though who knows what they want and what they are targeting right now. Though many here just want a signing, there are a few players that I would consider careful what you wish for the sake of signing.
