          • My guess is he's gone to Knights purely for playing time lol. Their middles are horrible and Leo is leaving. He'd struggle to crack our lineup with  PauloTuaviti Moretti Williams Hopgood JDB already taking spots. Even Guymer and other younger players would be pushing him

            • Yep, he will start for Newcastle. They need young middles badly.

              • Yep walks in and probably instantly their best prop 😂 maybe J saf plays next year but he's always hurt

        • We did not have a crack at Mooney

    • So you would pay $600k for Mooney who at best to start will be a bench forward? I like Mooney, but not at the price.

      • Id pay 300 maximum

        • I mean $400k is a bit much but with our cap space i'd say fair enough. $600k is insane. I mean come this time next year we might look back and say this is a bargain.

  • This would be a depth signing. Nothing more. We need more forwards that are ready for first grade incase of injuries until the juniors are old enough to compete in the next two years. Everyone wants tier 1 signings only, not possible, Melbourne contiunue to sign players who are not tier 1 signings and turn them competitive and when they have injuries a conveyor belt ready to go.

    • Though i feel many here are going into histeria as this could have been a link months ago and since we have signed Da Silva, as it doesn't make sense going for him. Had we not signed Da Silva, Havili makes sense in that he would be a 14 that could play forwards and fill in for Smith for a break.

If we did get him for cheap, then have to deal with it, not great but if we get him along with 2-3 other good signings who cares. Could be a nice third string Hooker.

  • Would cost literally nothing lol, prob be a fringe nrl spot 😂 any good players eels are chasing you won't hear about it in media

The Eels may be favourites, but history tells a different story. Since 2017, they’ve beaten Souths outside Parramatta just once. Over the last nine meetings, they’ve managed only a single win in 2023.
