Poppas Corner; JAC is proving to be a real Jewell

After last night I could "wax lyrical" about Mitch Moses.....I honestly did not think a single player could make so much difference to that side.

BUT I would like to talk about JAC, he may not be as fast as he once was, but he is quicker than anything we have had for a long time.

BUT No 2, every young winger in Parramatta can learn by his positional judgement. You just cannot believe the type of players we have had on the wing, have had no idea on how to read the situation. Yes JAC will still get caught out but his judgement is very high, he also gives us that polish at the finish that we had from Sivo, albeit in a much different style.

Finally what JAC has, has been pretty well understated to date, but now we have some creative players back in the side, I think we will really reap the benefits of his presence (yes I know about the goalline mistake he made last night....shit happens, but he made up for it 5 minutes later with some extraudinary stuff).

One thing I will say about the side last night is "game awareness" Moses and JAC demonstrated it in "spades", just imagine if Lomax was around to get under some of those kicks.

  • He's been very good defensively for Sean Russell, it's unusual to see the winger telling the centre what to do.

    • Russell best game was yesterday along with many others Ads

      • Centre suits Russell so much more oddly enough. His defence is sound, doesn't have to rely on much pace in attack and doesn't mind passing.

  • I'm definitely not cursing Russell as much in the last few rounds

    • Now, if only Russell could learn to pass or set up his winger?

      • Well if only you could give a bit more time to prove himself...

        • he's a back up player at best Mick.

          • But do you see the improvements?

            • Nothing wrong with Russell he's a perfect utility outside back I'd keep him purely as that he's played centre winger and can cover fullback worst case.Goal kicker average at best but he can do it.

Russell is exactly what you want as a depth player

              • The fact he also extended for 2026 despite the back 5 on long term deals soon and will get nod over him he still stayed. He is a Parra boy through and through and you need those guys. I have never hated Russell.

Just see him as "Oh, Simonsson out for a week? All good Russell will come in".

"Yeah sorry. Just a few blokes who don't like him. He slept with his mates Mrs. Even though he's a great player you have to be very cautious with this bunch of broncos players, massive attitude problems obviously "
