Thing i like about Anderson is firstly he is not afraid to speak his mind. Secondly he is a wonderful communicator, which makes him a great HOR. Finally, as i mentioned before, he is a branch off the Brian Smith coaching tree and if anything was probably the best one off that tree. He coached both NZ and Parramatta to GF's. Has a relationship with Rush already from time at St. Helens. So he has a footy mind, has been a coach with some success and managed to sign up to 4 starting players at Saints without a coach? I think that would be an excellent upgrade to Rogers.
THe single positive of Anderson (if we get him and a big IF!) is that he knows how their academy's (especially Easts) work and we could be in a position of poaching their "cherry picked" juniors.....probably stolen from us at some point.
He would be an interesting test for our conservative board, given he was very much involved in the salary cap rorts, deniable of course. It would most certainly be a triumphrant return who should be IMO a premiership winning coach, the Storm not only stole it from the club and players, but the coach and his staff as well !!!
Nice to see that fixed one day, I would like to see Jarryd wearing a "ring" not to mention the rest of the team.
We where never in the race for POS. It is a much easier job with the Broncos a true powerhouse. Why would you make it harder on yourself. POS with the backing of the Broncos will have a 10000 times easier job with less pressure to recruit the best talent.
We are the CUKS of the NRL....As for the SL CEO wtf does he know about the intricacies of the NRL...hahahaha
Luckwarm on all thats going on really...not much will change
What's important is although we missed O'Sullivan, Beach understands Parramatta cannot stand still and is making good moves. The signing of Rush was a very good move with Rush's experience and ability to get the job done, he seems like a game changer. Rush will also be a magnet for the best British players and someone they can relate to as a stepping stone to Parramatta.
Plus Preszenko spoke to Rush last night. Rush said to him all the right things but also i loved how he didn't do the typical "rebuild" or "we need time" wording. He said it shouldn't take long. He likes Ryles, enough to nearly hire him at St. Helens but he is an operator that will move him on if he feels it is best for him.
Though Sarantinos did have a hand in recruitment somewhat, I reckon Rush will have a big say in recruitment alongside MON, possibly Anderson and Ryles. Having a football minded CEO means being unsuccessful on the field hurts more as Rush has been in that position as a coach too. He knows how hard Ryles' job is.
Is Rush a guarenteed home run? No. There is no such thing as a guarenteed home run hiring. But is it a great hire on facebook value? Absolutely. He will think as a coach as he was one. But having Ryles, who he knows and possibly Anderson who he knows can fast track us to being successful quicker.
Agreed Chiefy - if we land Ando it would be good to see what his role includes and land another to move on MON.
We need astute minds at the helm. And new thoughts around the table. We need to be at the table when these schoolboys are playing / along with their sports High Schools etc like Westfields etc. Ando also has knowledge of the NZ system albeit a while back he was there. With Rushy we get the UK background which can only help.
Mon is the next piece of the puzzle to fall. I suspect he will be given time under the new administration to Impress, if he comes up short of expectation he will be moved on and then the next under the spotlight will be ryles.
That is fair to let happen. I agree that MON will be given time to show what he has got, said that all week. More so kept on so there is some familiarisation with some deals still yet to be complete that are over half way done.
"The biggest question here is injury if he continues down that track you don't resign him it's that simple.
The flip side of it is if he conquers the above potentially he's the best foward in the Parra pack all the tools are there for Hopgood.…"

Seems the backroom footy IQ jumped significantly.

No doubt we served as leverage for POS to push up his asking price. Bring back Ando
Now he is off to Broncos, can POS stand for Piece of S***? Haha
