Bradman best almost certain to resign after World Cup

Fmd.Barry Toohey reporting Bradman best is closer to inking an extension with the club after the World Cup.

Where to now,It's really Annyoing now that we still even have hope.Every big signing we miss out on.Its always onto this guy now.Keon, barnet,Galvin,Bradman best and more.We suck and will never land a big fish.So no point in saying let's target this guy now.Just gonna be let down again.

  • Firstly, settle down. I would rather them extend at their current club than go somewhere other than us. Best staying in Newcastle makes sense as that is where he is from and has his brother there.

Secondly, yeah it is tough as the options become a bit bare. Bostock would be next, though if Herbie is to go to Easts, Bostock will stay at Dolphins. Berry didn't end up going to Melbourne, so Howarth is needed in Melbourne. So perhaps Tago? Blaize before his injury would have definately been an option.

Thirdly, Leniu i would consider a decent fish considering he has played Origin and won 5 comps.

Lastly, it is more likely he stays, though with POS going to Brisbane, could a new HOR stuff things up or go in a new direction? Never know. Their cap is bare, a new HOR could see it and think they need to invest elsewhere.

Again it is frustrating but get a grip. Yeah we more likely missed another target that we publically announced we are chasing. What can you do honestly. Leniu happened so that is a start.

  • See, this is why we should sign no one.

Because if we the entire queensland 8 in a row team, numpties will still complain about not signing enough.

Anyway, If Best resigns, believe or not, we'll try and sign another player. You might be surprised to learn there are other NRL players.

    • To be fair Yehaz, and i do somewhat agree with your comment, there is not alot in terms of outside backs. That is the problem. The next best is Bostock and he is odds on to stay. After that you are heading into players where teams are happy to pay for them to play against them. That can work out but also risky.

I understand Roy's disappointment and frustration. That is fair to have as i have it too. But to just say we suck and don't even bother is just ridiculous.

"The biggest question here is injury if he continues down that track you don't resign him it's that simple.
The flip side of it is if he conquers the above potentially he's the best foward in the Parra pack all the tools are there for Hopgood.…"
