Current Perth Bears GM of football David Sharpe has not ruled out making a play for Zac Lomax, saying if the clause is cleared by Parramatta they would pursue him. Well issue is David you have nothing to offer us in order to waive the clauses. It is not like Sydney Roosters coming to us and saying they want Lomax and we can say we want Victor Radley in return for example. They would have nothing to give us. Now in 2028 could they as they have a roster and are a year in? Perhaps but wouldn't they just wait for another year and get him when his deal ends in 2029?
This is a nothing story, i put it up incase someone else chooses too. I wanted to get a head start and just drown it.

Well he says now he is over rugby league, or is it he is over playing Wing? Many say he is a loss, he is but many act like our title chances are now gone completely without him.
But Ryles being so comfortable and calm with him leaving says a bit and not sure exactly it is Lomax as a person entirely, more so his cost compared to position.
Tran$fer fee?
Who cares
Did you not read my blog? I mentioned it was brought up by me so others do not try to make a story out of it.
Yes I know I am just over it he wasn't even here for 12 months obviously wasn't real interested in the eels so I and not every interested in him
Being the new club, do the bears get some sort of salary cap concessions? Given his release conditions I'm wondering if we could get some sort of cap relief in exchange for him going there?
Well that's what i wonder about the transfer fee, what does it do for us?
Yeah not much, wouldn't hurt to approach the league if the bears actually want him and see what arrangements (if any) could be made that in some way benefit us. I had a giggle to myself over how you described the Pezet signing the other day.
The only thing the eels can get is a transfer fee. It doesn't help the team in anyway, it doesn't go towards the cap, all it does is help the club financially.
If we don't want him back and or he doesn't want to come back then the club should release him to an NRL team but only if they pay a transfer for all 3 years remaining on his eels contract.
Well not exactly, we can get a player in return.
But technically a transfer fee is nothing, doesn't help us on the cap or anything.
