Current Perth Bears GM of football David Sharpe has not ruled out making a play for Zac Lomax, saying if the clause is cleared by Parramatta they would pursue him. Well issue is David you have nothing to offer us in order to waive the clauses. It is not like Sydney Roosters coming to us and saying they want Lomax and we can say we want Victor Radley in return for example. They would have nothing to give us. Now in 2028 could they as they have a roster and are a year in? Perhaps but wouldn't they just wait for another year and get him when his deal ends in 2029?
This is a nothing story, i put it up incase someone else chooses too. I wanted to get a head start and just drown it.

Why are we worried about Lomax. That's two contract in two years he's walked from. He talked sht about the dragons whilst under contract there causing considerable damage to team culture, now this
I say fark him and forget him . Seems like a selfish individual who throws his toys out whenever his toast is one shade too dark.
Im not worried about him at all.
Theres nothing going on upstairs with the bloke. His yardage game is elite but 9/10 decisions he makes on the field are the wrong one. He had more decisons to make at centre and was hopeless. His defence is ordinary. Some of the trys he let in on his wing this year were disgraceful.
Tran$fer fee?
Who cares
Being the new club, do the bears get some sort of salary cap concessions? Given his release conditions I'm wondering if we could get some sort of cap relief in exchange for him going there?
Sell his contract rights to a team with cap space and something to offer us. Raiders or Roosters. We dont want Toby Sexton or some Superleage Centre no other clubs wanted. Otherwise keep him out of the game until 2029.
Although, in all seriousness, he doesnt want to play league right now. Read the tea leaves, he is bored of the game. Reached the highest level and it still wasnt enough. He wont be in the NRL.
You're right. He looked done with rugby league before he got to us. He's not looking at coming back at all.
Reached the highest level ? He saw himself as a centre and reluctantly played wing .
There is nothing surer than him getting sick of rugby sooner rather than later and going somewhere else from there . Who cares where players like him don't win comps often .
Played Origin and for Australia. Whats higher than that?
