Parramatta have one week to get cracking and put a respectable offer to inspirational skipper Clint Gutherson before his management throws open the door to rival clubs.
Ahead of Friday night’s crucial clash against the Sydney Roosters, Gutherson’s agent Sam Ayoub opened up to The Daily Telegraph about the delicate point negotiations are now at, after a previous low-ball offer was rejected some months back.

Parra should put in their best offer and take into account he has already sustained serious knee issues. I don’t personally think guthbo is our number one priority.Take it or leave it guthbo.
I would be offering no more than 500k per year.
So in other words. We will resign BA so we keep Gutho
Sam putting the screws on trying to get a deal done for his player (and himself) and the club pushing back wanting to delay the decision. Let's see how this pans out and whether we have learned something from the past.

he's a priority in my opinion - he's become the heart and soul of this club. His signature is a must

I would say better than good, and relative to the rest of our squad, a stand-out.
On current form, taking into account his age, potential for further improvement and his past injuries and key position in our spine I’d say 2-3 year deal and worth the 1.5-2.5 mil across those seasons.
Maybe Ayoub should get off his arse and organise a TPA for Gutherson. Seriously, what are these guys getting paid for?
Exactly! If a manager of a player with Guthos character, charisma and ability can’t easily muster up a legal TPA, then there is something wrong or perhaps there is no such thing as a legit one.
