I'm not crying. Just got something in my eye.
I was lucky as I grew up with the success. I salute all the Parra fans who passed on, that lived all through the wooden spoons but never had the chance to see the Eels be crowned Premiers. I also salute those who finally did see success sticking with the club through all the hardships.
Great program. Goosebumps all the way. What a sight to see blue and gold flags waving and our fans jumping up and down in joy.

How good seeing the greats in action again. The guru was so damn quick, sterlo a magician and conductor, price an absolute war horse, Cronin so skillfull , and Kenny just sublime. One thing that stands out is they just didn't give up on a play and the way they backed each other up Criss cross plays galore beating the defence in circles. It was also awesome to see centres actually in the same side of the field and playing together. Just playing the game as they saw it and not being regimented into left side/ right side.. ohhhhh the memories.
The vision that each of our backline players had was just a joy to watch, inside outside plays just decimated the defence. We did have some speed but I saw a lot of players get caught from behind only to have 1 and most of the time 2 more eels backing them up. Now that's real footy, the art of backing up like they did and always promoted the football, they are an effort play which gets lost in the Modern game to some degree.
It was a very slick backline back then. We had pace on both sides of the field.
Just watched the dynasties and come to the realisation that Brett Kenny was our greatest player ever. I have elevated him over Ken Thornett. How people say that Wally Lewis was the greatest five eight are kidding themselves. Kenny played alll over him.
Poppa, you're wrong. Kenny was all over Lewis like a rash. Lewis only ever stood up in Origin games and played a lot of mediocre stuff at club level. Go watch the Challenge Cup Final between Wigan and Hull on YouTube as an example of Kenny 'owning the game'. As the saying goes... Wally was King but Kenny was GOD!
I have the team photos of the 81.82.83.and 86 teams on my computer room wall .with the caption .GODS LITTLE CHILDREN under them .enough said
is anyone else having trouble viewing it ? just wont open at all
