BE slight jab. Talagi is fair. Sanders I will stand by to this day you know that. Sanders I wouldn't say is even playing that well.
Keeping Sanders at 6 could have been a Pezet situation where he is not a 6. He only comes up with a good game to knock the R&R but quiet the last few games as he didn't do much. Did we expect Sanders to wait til Moses to retire to play?
Talagi is fair as we should never have given him an option for 2025. If they signed him properly then Talagi would have gotten 6 moving forward.
I mean stupid Penrith letting Isaiya Katoa go when he was being groomed to replace Luai but Luai left for Tigers and Katoa had already left. Pezet left Melbourne too I wonder why.

Given how much injury time Moses has had these last seasons Sanders actually would have got significant game time if he was backup for Moses. What could have been. I do wonder what Sanders would be now if he was able to learn from Mitch more closely these last few years.
They'll probably find their way back home after Moses is retired. Let's be real Moses was in his prime when those two were here. Same with Dyl he too was in prime form.
I don't blame them, they all left under Brad Arthur's era, and BA was f*cking pathetic at developing juniors and playing them, he'd prefer to buy has-beens. They all made good decisions.
Ryles is different, I think we'll see a good crop come in under him, we just have to be a little patient.
Correct when it came to the halves and hooker, but we had shit forwards and backs for years under BA. Occasionally he had some success with Lane, Papali, and a couple of others, but the only juniors he blooded with any real success was Dylan Brown and Will Penisini.
How were your supposed to build a winning football program when behind the scenes in your front office is under administration and it's an out out civil war power struggle going on.
I mean BA is guilty of a number of things but developing juniors and having an environment amenable for junior success and transference to FG is on the club.I very much doubt many coaches survive in that atmosphere the club was under back then.
"You think Penisini can be a poor man's Brian To'o Pops very similarly built both very strong ball carriers and run hard a given for wingers these days.
You think if he could be something like the mentioned ?"
"His carries are soft and indeed the hit and spin he does are not inspriring.
But he was crucial for us in defence. Tackled everything and covered so well for Moretti, Taulagi etc...who were missing tackles.
He's still young (22!) but his ceiling…"
"Yeah but the Cowboy metres, while Taumololo and Mikaele gained metres, it was all their slippery players like Purdue, Dearden and Drinkwater that made the metres for them by evading tackles etc...
But I agree about the other forwards dominating us…"

Sliding doors moment I guess.

Unfortunately, BA was coaching with vested interest with Jake and Matt career in his mind.

We went through a run of 4 years back to back to back to a GF 19-22.
The fact we can only get those to is indictment on your FG coach it's an indictment on the development system the club ran.
That's been the problem with this club no culture or identity they call us the sleeping giant that ties in perfectly with the last mentioned.
You mean the club don't you.
