Panthers put 50 on Storm, you love to see it!

How are we feeling after watching that demolition, still think the our boys didn't turn up after the loss? We played much better and than the Storm did tonight, we defended better and attacked better. I get the doom & gloom after a loss, and I definitely get the frustration, but Panthers have gone to another level this year so we just need to chill and make the other matches count best we can. I'm hoping last weeks game hasn't affected the team to much and they go into Monday's game with some confidence, or the Tigers will beat them.

Secretly hoping we get the Panthers after an Origin game and they rest a few players - they're looking so hot right now.

    • That's possible as they definitely seem super hyped which is quite odd as it's not just 1 player or 2 but the whole team. Bit strange

    • 💯 been saying it a from 3wks ago. They aren't normal.

  • The only reason panthers were so good is because every thing went their way early on. That's because of the blight on this game the 6 again just plain cheating by the officials dictating the game and distroying it and a great contest all for the mighty dollar.

    • Agree 100% how many Penrith tries come from repeat sets or penalties or some very questionable sets especially early in the game

    • Right and when things your way you need to capitalize. They are good enough to capitalize most of the time.

  • I was hoping that the Storm would win. I can't stand either team but I Penrith is worse! The Panthers got some extra help yet again  from repeat sets and some penalties at crucial moments especially earlier in the game. Can't stand the arrogance that come from the Panthers

    • Again refs ain't changing any of these results.

I hate it when people bring up "they have help" even if they lost Cleary they still win, that's been proven in 2023 when he missed half the year.

Last year they were burned out, had a lull and got back to what they normally do mid year. Needed a service, oil change and machine back and working. The heartbreak from their 2025 season fueled this year more and they are a sleeping giant from 2025 being awoken and terrorizing everything in it's path.

They will lose games, Cleary will pull back their prep mid year and rest players before finals, but will time their run perfectly. Clubs that are used to winning and those used to losing find it easier to win or lose. They know how to do either.

Look at Walker's try last week, game was done but Penrith were furious they let the try in. Attitude, they have it with expectations. That's what is missing in most teams.

In terms of arrogance, when they are that successful it doesn't bother me. Like Tom Brady arrogantly saying he is the best QB of all time, well he is so he can say that. Unlike say Wests Tigers who are arrogant simply from winning 2 games, that's arrogance I hate.

      • Seriously of course referees can change results they've been doing it for years and it's got worse and sadly fans have just accepted it as part of the game. Go back to 1 referee and no bunker! Remove repeat sets or at least put a cap on the amount per game and even allow captains challenge for repeat sets

        • Uhhhh did I say they can't change results In general? I said no matter what the ref did Penrith win and win easily.

Close games? Yeah ref can influence. The only thing, if happening, that ref can change is how much they win by. Even then it's by 40 not 34.

You can't put a cap on set restarts as the things that count for set restarts would be abused and therefore what's the point of it. So either keep as is or get rid of it.

But can you please tell me do you believe the only reason Penrith are winning are the referees? If so that is completely asinine.

          • Of course you can put a limit on set restarts! They put limits on other things why not set restart ? Mate the system is already being abused putting a limit on set restarts would stop referees affecting the outcome and momentum of games. Penrith are a very good side BUT they've seriously been getting very favourable calls go their way. Remember when  the Sharks played Penrith and the Sharks goal kicker was kicking to either win or tie the game and the trainer ran in front of the goal kicker? That affected the outcome. Remember back when Penrith played the Eels in semi finals and the Penrith trainer stopped the game illegally and Penrith went onto win! Penrith cheat and they get away with it
