There's a significant amount of players off contract for 2027 so I thought we'd do our favourite GM, Mark O'Neill a hand by helping him identify a few potential players worth chasing that will help give us a competitive chance to play for the finals next year. We do have Luai, Leniu, Schiller and Su'a coming, but I think we're still short a couple of backs. As for 2028, we need to find a 5/8 and while i'm a fan of Volkman, just quite aint there yet, well at least for the topic of this off season blog.
I've had a look at the players off contract for 2027 and 2028 based on Zero Tackle's comprehensive list and have added players from each club that we could target.
2027 Position Priority (open to your suggestions)
- Left Wing (a strike winger to replace JAC) Let's trot baby! 😆
- Left Centre (Best, Bostock are obvious choices)
- Left 2nd Row (depends where Jack Williams plays
- Backup Fullback (Someone that can cover wing when Simonson gets injured and Fullback)

- Backup Fullback (Cody Ramsey, Deine Mariner )

Which club signed Asi?
Tigers
Brisbane Tigers.
Sounding like the agreed opinion amongst the journo's is Best to Parra, and Bostock to St George. So while we are after Bostock, it's just not being spoken about outside of Parra. Not holding out much hope. Dolphins may hang onto him if they lose Herbie.
