Joash set for his starting debut

Here's a summary:

## Key Points
1. Parramatta Eels' Joash Papalii is set to make his starting debut in the No.6 jersey against the Titans.
2. The opportunity arises due to suspensions/injuries to key players Dylan Brown and Mitch Moses.
3. Dean Hawkins will start at No.7.
4. Papalii has played 3 games as an interchange player and has experience playing in the halves at NSW Cup level.
5. Teammate Zac Lomax praises Papalii, saying he's "light on his feet" and "trains really well."

        • It's from an article today he has summarised it

    • I hope the kid kills it a no.6 and Ryles plays him there for the remainder of the season, and pushes DB to the centres. Not many half decent halves out there, besides maybe Brandon Smith. Would love to see more talented youths in our spine.

Just look at Galvin, when Tigers took a chance to blood a young kid.

      • Yeah and he ended up a spoilt brat

        • I don't particarly like him CE but he hasn't done anything to say he is a spoilt brat.

Lets see him get caight in a couple of  night clubs or toilet sex before we start the crucifiction.....our bias is showing, but he is just a kid trying to be a very good football player.

If had signed with Parra I wonder if we would all be thinking very differently.

Tall Poppy Syndrome is alive and well in our supporter base,.

          • His actions seem to indicate a spoilt brat persona but I could be mistaken.

            • What actions?

    • From memory, Lomax backed up on Friday for Dragosn last year so I got no doubt he will back up for us again.

  • Congratulations, I hope he goes well

  • I've been saying this, that he should be the 6, you could even put a volkman or a hands on the bench

"Not really as SL is not near NRL standard. I understand that can be opinion but when you have players that are either older, or cannot get a squad here you know it's lower. How long since we've seen a top player in their prime head to SL.
