Well with Mitch Moses adamant he wanted to get his future sorted out before the round 1 kickoff. Does he realize he doesn't have much time left to make his decision according to his statement. The more this lingers on the more likely Mitch Moses is going to the Tigers in my opinion.

I mean at this stage i think it is as Kenty said, a stare off with Parramatta whoever budges first. We want 4 years, he wants 5. That is it. I believe Parramatta would offer an option either being Mutual or Club but he would never, ever accept it.
I do not think there is anything to fear, he will be at Parramatta in 2024, someone will budge at some point.
I'm not so sure about that. If a person ( Mitch Moses) is really interested in the Eels he would have signed by now. I reckon the Tigers are definitely front runners
Agree PT, money is definitely what is holding this up.
If it was about a preferred club or winning a premiership he would have signed months ago.
I agree. I think this is purely Moses's manager getting in the way.
Moses wants to re-sign at Parra, but Isaac Moses is holding up the deal knowing that the Eels don't have another option. The reality is Mitch doesn't really have another option either, he wants to stay at the Eels. So it's a staring contest.
Mark O'Neill is known for not budging and being a non-reactive type of negotiator.
Isaac Moses is the type of negotiator who must be in control and must win. He's not going to be satisfied until he gets what he wants.
Eventually they will find some level of common ground and get this done because that's what Mitch ultimately wants.
Give him a 4 year deal with an option in his favour after the 3rd year, if he can get a better longer deal after the 3rd year and the eels don't want to match it he can take up the better deal. By the time that 3rd year ends he will likely be on the decline and if we haven't won a premiership by then we probably won't with him.
As I understand it he's already got a 4 year offer (not sure if year 4 is an option). He wants 5 years.
The last time I heard anything about the deal it was
Eels: 4 yrs x $1.1m
Tigers: 5 yrs x $1.3m
Question marks over if the Tigers offer was a genuine 5 year deal. It may have been 4 with an option in the Tigers' favour for the 5th.
I haven't heard about anything changing since these numbers.
The tigers 5 year deal might have included this season.
Back to the eels deal, stick with the 4 year deal but give him an option after the 3rd year, the eels lock him up for another 3 years (his prime years) and have an option to match any offers after the 3 rd year if they choose to do so. Moses gets the security of a 4 year deal at minimum but with the ability to negotiate a longer deal after the 3 years if he so chooses. It's a win, win as far as I can see.
That's a great idea HKF
we will need to have a succession plan at some point and 3 guaranteed years gives us time to breath but still gives a competitive guy like Mitch time to keep playing well and take up an option with us or another club for maybe even more money.
Who knows what the demand will be like in 3 years.
Could be a sellers market and may even get a little more coin and an extra year if he wants to play on.
It's a no lose for both parties
Isaac Moses wants an extra year to get extra cut of his commission
More air time = more Instagram followers.....
