Refs against us making us tire in games and not being " influenced to help us"
no benefactors or TPAs in cooeee
we don't even have one friend in commentary on ANY platform ( and don't even consider Hindy - he's traded on us being a joke for his own media identity - loved him as a player but has he ever had a spray ???)
andy Raymond is the last major eels fan/ player I think apart from Sterlo
until we are in the " script" it's a sad landscape even when we have improved 110 percent with ryles
we are so up against it
pisses me off no end 🤬😞

Correct , playing good footy isn't enough . Not even close . You need good management and good recruiters .
I hate to say it the Scully in me doesn't think that's really enough anymore in this day and age
we need representation on all fronts and where it matters - particularly in the media
we have no CLOUT
No the way to attract players is to court them properly, find out what they want or need, address their fears or concerns, have a vision for them, be able to back it up. Our negotiation and closing of deals has been disgraceful for too long. Get someone with real respect, real punch, a real heavy weight in this dept , and then things will change.
Ennis pretty much cummed in his pants all night in commentary with seeing Galvin in dogs jersey. Between Anasta, Ennis and Gould in the media, it's pretty much predetermined that the Dogs are the next Era team. The whole thing is rort
X a billion trillion
We need to start a petition to get the refs to front the media like the coaches do end of game
Yes its the penrith panthers and now the penrith bulldogs as the next era team ....now doesnt that suck.....and what about the media narrative of 40 years for us in 2026.....man I need a drink
The Bulldogs were the laughing stock of the NRL for years.
They created their own narrative, created their own luck, and now they're getting the rewards.
This isn't some conspiracy - the NRL would LOVE for a strong and successful Eels team - we would make the NRL an absolute mint!
The only ones holding us back are ourselves, especially if we believe that the world is against us. Teams up the top of the ladder get better ref calls, bias is unavoidable. Teams up the top of the ladder get players coming to them, success is a selling point.
When we decide we want to be an amazing club, we will be. But it'll take NO compromises. It'll take getting rid of dead wood in our organisation, it'll take hunting down people who can help make our club a success and landing them at the club. It'll take a dedicated focus to on field and off field excellence.
Right now our club has a focus on on field excellence, but hasn't made the hard decisions to chase off field excellence. Until that happens we will always feel like the world is against us. But the reality is our destiny is entirely in our own control.
Sound words The Captain. We have a few perenial losers in our set up including Nathan Brown who has done nothing in the game
It's not just the club who love losing, it's found also amongst many of our fan base who applaud mediocrity and actual revel in it likes pig in piles of shit.
And please show me a fan base that makes more excuses for being shit as much as our fans do?
And show me another fanbase that blows as much air up it's junior bases arse than Parra?
I mean if we actually developed talent I'd join in but apart from Hayne who was our last out and out superstar that we developed? Doesn't happen.
