Kelma would make a great impact back-rower off the bench, he runs a nice line and can put hits on and throw an offload. He is not a starter. We do not seem to be after Fifita, but i feel we should be just to match the physicality in attack.
Ryley Smith had an odd game. Defence he was amazing, attack had some sketchy passes and his vision was put on show early on. Could be development but very odd game. Someone mentioned get Mahoney in, i wouldn't be opposed but Dogs looked better once he was off, we looked worse in defence in the middle once Smith went off.
I agree about Kelma, he'd make a great impact forward because he can cover prop and 2nd row, but we do need better 2nd rowers and centers.
Russell just isn't up to the grade and can't get the ball to JAC, and Penisini's form has fallen off a cliff. Not sure what's going on with him.
Mahoney can get F'd, I'd prefer to bring in or develop another player. Ryley is already better than him, we just need a better option to give him a rest on the bench, we don't need another primary hooker to compete with him.
JAC is catching a fucking cold next to this bloke. Yes his defence has improved out of sight, but attack wise he just kills that side. We have an elite winger, the job of the centre is to set this bloke up and he is just getting wasted. If only we had someone of Critters quality playing for us.
Agree re Reed. He is pretty one dimensional, and doesn't add much to what we already have with Ryley. I'm thinking he will get better with experience and getting used the grind of week in, week out NRL. Ethan Strange said it took him a season to get used to the physicality of 1st grade every week.
Williams needs to go to backrow and we need to find a middle. Losing 2 middles b4 kickoff didnt help.
Don't agree with that. I love Williams' neat step - it fools some of the lumbering front rowers and he makes his ground in the front row.
On the edge, he'd be competing against players as agile as he is.

It's funny how some people aren't the problem. Russell has improved out of sight in defence under Jason ryles. However, his attack is non existent. The amount of times the fox has been open catching a cold. Penisini needs to go to the middle or Reggies.
I was always of the view that once Simonsson returned, he'd slot in for Russell.
