Not going to go into a massive post. One is a great attacking machine, one is a fantastic defender. One is currently carving opposition up, even in a new position. One, after a number of years is starting ( allegedly) to show some of the potential the Club has been paying overs now for years. Sorry, I openly admit I have no idea of the $ in terms of contracts, but I think this is a perfect example of our clubs R& R continued failure. Who the hell are our talent scouts?

Not even a question. Hynes leaves Brown for dead. He provides spark and keeps the opposition guessing.
My point exactly.
So, next question. Is it talent or coaching which is the difference?
Talent. If brown was talented as everyone raves about , no coach would be able to hold it back. This rubbish about coaching talent out of players is rubbish. Anyine that's ever played any kind of team sports knows the talented players shine through.
Thankyou!
I'll go back to a point ive made over and over. Guys like Brown have nobody to learn their trade on the paddock or at training from. Hynes has been around some great experienced players who he could watch and learn. Picking up on field pointers from players that no coach can teach.
you don't need to be around immortals , just experienced players they respect who've played at the top level . We don't really recruit anyone for our guys to learn from. Hence why Moses is a 28 year old whos still a slow learner . Who'd he have to sponge off ? Cleary had Maloney.
With RCG at our club we will see some decent stock coming through in the boppers . Look at Melbourne's stock after Smith and Slater in their respective positions. Tommy Turbo had Brett Stewart .
Brian Smith got it, he'd recruit experience when needed . Who's Dylbro had to soak game experience off ? Corey Norman ? When I was playing grade as a 17 year old coming through Reggies and getting a bench spot in 1st's I learnt more off the older slower blokes who were slogging it out in reggies about handling myself on the paddock than I did from tne 1st grade "stars" . They'd been there done that and taught me about confidence and gamesmanship . I respected and listened to everything those guys told me. If we bought adam Reynolds we'd win the comp this year or next guaranteed. It's a real shame the hodgson thing hasn't worked out for this year and he stayed fit.
I said the exact same thing in another blog a few days ago regarding Reynolds - that is who we should have bought instead of keeping Moses. Not that Reynolds had a brilliant game on debut for the Broncos, but they would have lost that without him.
What you're saying is also true about experience in a successful culture. Other than Matterson, we don't have a single player at our club who has any idea what winning takes or has had any experience of it at first grade level. We are full of supposedly talented players that have never quite gotten there.
For sure, same goes for Maloney - a proven competitor and winner.
I can see why Dylan cops so much stick, but he is rarely given an opportunity and for some reason (mainly Shaun Lane keeps dropping the ball) all his good work goes unrewarded and Moses wants to run everything when it comes to the end of our sets.
Dylan would benefit from benji as they have similar styles. Joey was there for Moses to develope kicking and structures. Dylan needs a mentor that suits his style. Mick and merry aren't it.
Eels should send him to Matty Johns like what the Storms did for Munster. I reckon he will learn a lot and vastly improve his game.
