  • Think there was already a blog about this, but I'd say until he retires, it should be Hindy, then after that, I'd give Mannah a crack at captain.
He's a natural born leader, and if last season is anything to go by, he'll lead from the front.
  • I don't get it?
    What's very good?
  • Gotta be Tim Mannah.
  • Hindy first choice, Burt second choice, Mannah for the long term prospect
  • I personally wouldnt give it to Hindy next year .. but thats my own personal opinion.
I would go out and give it to Tim Mannah. Tim could then be the captain for the next 10 years.
    There is nothing like stability.

To throw a spanner in the works, dont discount that they may run with hindy for 2011 and then offer Cooper Cronk or some other blue chip player an extra incentive of the captaincy in 2012 if they sign with the eels.
  • Hindy first choice,, Mannah for the long term prospect
  • Would Love Mannah to run it out week in week out...and please no co-captain like in other clubs.

    y not Hayne?????
  • Nathan Hindmarsh.

He has the respect of all our players, the opposition and the referees.

Tim Mannah will get his chance after Hindy retires.
  • dont really know why its even being discussed i thought the decision was already made that Hindy will be captain of The eels in 2011 and til he retires hopefully
  • I've often wondered if there was more benefit in a captain that is on field for 80 minutes. As I say this I want it to be known that I am not off handedly criticising Nathan Cayless who seemed to be exempt from this concept. Do you think Tim Mannah will ever be an 80 minute prop leading from the front? Having said this I agree with most of you here. Nathan Hindmarsh has earned and proved his leadership abilities and I support him as captain. From all accounts and even just by looking at him, Tim Mannah seems like leadership material and he has a great attitude. If he keeps learning from more experienced players and coaches he would become a good captain too.
