On the quiet?

The following is pure speculation without a morsel of info to support it.  That said, it has been on my mind for weeks and thought I would share it.

Does Mitch Moses have a more serious medical issue/ injury, susceptible to recurring at any time?  Unlike previously, his resigning was uber low key, and came from nowhere. Has Parra taken a risk on him and he in turn has shut up and quietly put pen to paper?  Yes, maybe he has pivoted based on becoming captain and wanted to lead by example, but I have some difficulty with that, considering the history of his agent.

We seem to have some real issues in recruitment. Having a minimally available Mitch Moses may be accepted in order to attract other players to the club.

Anyway, throwing it out there. Welcome your thoughts.

  • The serious issue at the Eels isn't Mitch's medical its the way our recruitment personnel are missing out on real talent. It dosnt get any more serious then that.

  • Mitch has had different injuries

    Back

    Bicep

    Broken foot

    Calf

None are recurring but they are a constant issue.

We are a lower table team that's not changing anytime soon our recruitment and retention is sub par and our history of being shit also doesn't help

  • As much as this fucking pisses me off, why even bother bringing Moses back this year? This season is now done and dusted.

I'd be tempted to give him the rest of the season off to get himself sorted and injury free, but only on the proviso that he drops out of representative selection for the Kangaroos.

Last thing we need is him reinjuring himself and fucking our preparation for the 2026 season.

  • It's definitely a concern to have your team captain and a player in the most important position on the field to play only a handful of games over 2 seasons and still get paid full salary as well. I mean even Josh Reynolds who has recurring injuries has played more games than Mitch Moses. I don't understand why his contract was extended if the coach and front office was aware of the extent of his injuries. I actually think he might retire based on his injuries and they'll either use another junior player or purchase another number 7. Mitch Moses absence has highly contributed to why the Eels are where they are this year amongst other issues.
