Next 7 Games (9 Rounds) - Great Draw!

Still riding the excitement from last week and have noticed we have a great opportunity over the next 9 rounds to move into the 8 and, hopefully, cement a spot.

It goes:

Cowboys (minus origin stars)

Bye

Dogs

Manly (minus Turbo and DCE)

Dolphins

Bye

Warriors

Titans

Cowboys

It gets harder after that, but we also enjoy a Bye in the last round prior to finals.

It would be great to bag 5/7 games and pick up 14 points in that period - which is a very real possibility if we keep playing well. It is conceivable that we could do better than that too (perhaps that's a little too optimistic).

Giddy up!

  • I thinnk the top 5 will remain relatively the same season end. 6-14th is up in the air. Given how close the mid table i think if we win less than 5/7we don't make the 8 (considering we have a tough end run to the comp).

  • We are likely to get Matto and possibly RCG back for dogs game but most likely manly game .  Great bench will be massive to avoid the mid game fade outs etc .

  • What will also help is teams above us are playing each other which is a bonus

  • We have a top 5 for and against too. We can very easily be in the top 4 if results go our way, but we really need to win these next 7 games.

  • Thats a good looking draw, JBG.

Every game winnable if we are serious contenders.

Kinda perfect from here. We can hopefully get some points and build momentum then have a tougher run into the finals and get battle hardened.

Full unicorn, not giving up on the top 4 if we win tonight.

"Thanks for that Ian, Hambly was one tough Hombre let me tell you. The amazing part of that story was Chalky Barnes (a very slight man) got up and finished the game.....rumer has it that his body imprint was still in the ground after the game LOL"

"Wasn't there for 'Hambly steam rolling Barnes' but my father always talked about what a great player Hambley was. I am not too far behind you though, Poppa, my first memories of Eels start in the early 70s at Cumberland Oval"
