  • What's Jordan Samrani like?

    • Not sure on his but he's listed as a centre

      • predoiminantly a centre but can play backrow. Aka a type of player we need. Still not 'NRL' standard yet.

        • Yeah yet, but I would not be shocked if he is a surprise Round 1 selection.

          Could be a Niukore type.

          • Would need a masive pre-season to be in the nrl line up round 1. IMO he would be on the bench for the cup team right now.

            • There is a plan for him of course nonetheless. I reckon that is as a back-rower. Even if a season in Cup as a back-rower is the case.

              • Yea no doubt there is a plan. I think a lot depends on who plays backrow in the nrl. We have plenty of backrowers who need to be in cup or nrl:

Tuialagi, Carty, Brazel, Doorey, Latu, Williams (middle too)

    • 190cm 102kgs Samrani

  • Fwaarkin brilliant

  • The Parramatta Eels are excited to announce the signing of talented utility Joash Papalii and dynamic outside back Jordan Samrani for the next two seasons. Additionally, the club has extended backrower Matt Doorey’s contract for another year, securing his services through the 2026 season.

General Manager of Football Mark O’Neill expressed enthusiasm about the new signings, particularly highlighting Joash Papalii's potential impact on the team.

“We are thrilled to welcome both Joash and Jordan to the Parramatta Eels family,” O’Neill said.

“Joash is an incredibly exciting young talent who possesses great speed and agility. He has previously represented Australian Schoolboys and NSW Under 19s and will add great depth to our NRL playing squad.”

Jordan Samrani is also set to make a significant contribution to the Eels' ambitions over the next two seasons.

“Jordan is a big man, predominantly an outside back who can also add versatility to our squad.” O’Neill added. “He has already shown great promise and we’re excited to see how he further develops within our program.”

In addition to the new signings, the club is pleased to announce the extension of backrower Matt Doorey. O’Neill emphasised the belief in Doorey’s potential for growth.

“Matt has shown great resilience in overcoming injury, and we’re confident that his best football is still ahead of him,” O’Neill said.

"Onething I will say about Moretti is would he have the same impact against starting fowards I don't know.
But a big reason he's making this impact is because a lot of starch has gone out of the game so his energy and enthusiasm comes to the fore…"

"Yea I like Samrani as a 17 rather than a starting backrower. Tuilagi will probably be selected this week with Guymer back on the bench or cup. Latu needs a couple more games in Cup before being a chance of NRL selection I would think."
