If Ryles can take away his shoulder charging and other antics that draws penalties, will be a good buy since he surely can bend the lines, offloads and do a quick play the ball. For the right price, we may take the risk whilst waiting for some of our junior forwards to mature.
Yes. Yes. Yes.
Our young forwards (Tuivati and Kautoga) need someone with his experience and leadership. I'm all in for NAS. He's done it all at the highest level. 2 GF wins and another 4 times reaching the GF. 16 Caps for NZ and he's only 29. He's defo got 2-3 more year of quality. He also adds a level of nastiness. We're too nice, too soft. You need to be bit of a c*nt to the opposition and make them think twice how hard they are gonna run up the ball to you.
We do lack strong experienced personalities and NAS will add to Moses, Fox, Junior, Lomax, Williams and Walker.
I would prefer Liam Henry TBH.
Younger, healer and far less suspension prone.
Like it Frank. Henry is a young gun. Makes great meters and always has impact. He's getting better also. Could be a cornerstone to our pack for years to come. I think eventually he will play Origin
Is he (LH) available or are we just pissing into the wind again.....Guys we would like have and those we actually get/or want to come to Parra are miles apart...... NAS comes to us for one reason only and that reason is a person.
Its our only chance as in normal terms he wouldn't piss on us!

Wether NAS is the right fit you never now until they've settled in but the reality is if we can't sign someone we won't seriously threaten the top clubs playing off the back foot.
We have a pack that can really make metres off the back of someone's early generated momentum, we just don't yet have that someone.
a side note who do you like in the Cox Plate?
Bup, I thought ball movement with minimal erros was actually one of the big improvem, ent areas with the Eels over the last 2 months of the competition. It seemed for a while the Eels would a) attempt ball movement but spill the pill constantly, and/or b) accomplish ball movement and get a line break which absolutely nobody seemed to expect and there was no support runners downfield. The eye test says that changed late in the season? And I was left wondering if the issue was that support running improved, so that players running into holes were thinking 'run Eel run' and NOT 'oh shit I gotta think run and pass all at once to get this line berak'?
I have no real objection to NAS but also am not yet sure the house of cards will fall if the Eels rely mostly on ball movement. Maybe it is about where the Eels are going to attack? Are they currently equipped to be 'barge down the centre for 5 tackles'? Probably not. Is that an attack that would work anyway?
