He is only a depth player. Not fussed if he leaves. Seems like he is never fit enough to play big minutes. Club would back one of the junior forwards to replace him in 2027.

I'm guessing you didn't watch many games then. His stats don't jump off the page but he provided good impact with his runs. Even commentators were noticing him at the end of the year.
It's not a huge blow if he left but it would be nice to hold onto an eels junior in a depth position.
Here we go. This will be the second time that Matt, leaves our club. He was an elite pathways junior earmarked by the Eels. Played at Kellyville, before signing with Canterbury to play NSW Cup. Also played u/20's for Australia.
Question: Are we not attempting to have our club as a destination, where players want to play. If this is the case that he wants to explore other clubs, then it will be goodbye Mr Doorey🐠
Doorey is not going to be a starter for us or even on the bench when are at full strength. He knows that too. So of course he will test the market to see if he can get a spot in a teams first choice nrl side. We got plenty of junior forwards coming through the club. Dont need to stress about losing him and stick to whatever they offered him.
"I will preferrably do modern as that is what i know but i can try and do older. But let's be fair most of that 17 would be automatic. Sterling, Cronin, Kenny, Grothe, Price, O'Reilly, Ella etc. all are guaranteed.
"

17 FG games and I barely noticed him.

Actually Im a bit of a Doorey fan just a bit jaded by contract shenanigans atm.
Id say we offered him something around 250 - 270k. If a team offers more they'll pay overs. Good luck

yeah I agree EA. I just don't like that the "club want him" and He wants to explore. Like i said Goodbye Doorey.
It's a common theme in the NRL right now for all fringe players including Panthers.
