Put him in cotton wool until Vegas ffs
How much can an Eels fan take
He should hang the boots up on all rep football.
Calf again, similar soft tissue injuries only allowing him to play less than half a season. Moses needs to make the call and support the club which pays him 1.5 mil. Thats it. Ive had it

So many anti-Eels sad sacks here going off on Moses. You don't win Origin series and make the national team as a 7 because you're "not an organizing half". That's just absurd. Sure many of us feared he would injure his troublesome calf. But Moses was not the cause of the Kiwi pack steamrolling through huge yardage gains and Grant not distributing the ball properly. The Kiwis were the better team but three long range tries and fatigue late in the game allowing Bostock some opportunities was just enough.
In 2027 some of us will cheer on Moses and the team and some will be forever sad sacks. What a mean spirited sporting life is that of the perennial sad sack.
Well spokenDaz and I agree with your view's on our "fickle" supporters.
All that said and injuries aside, I was looking at that facebook download that Chiefy published yesterday with a lot of highlight space specifically on Moses of past years.....he simply just does not do anymore what he did back in the day.
I actually I think his best is of other days and I hope I am wrong, the fact that he is 31 years old doesn't concern me, elite halves have shown up well to their mid thirties and play significant roles. I was about to say that these players have not had injury problems like Moses and then I thought of Reynolds and he has survived with cunning, guile and flawless goal kicking.
None of the faculties seem to exist in Moses game, speed and a terrific long boot seem to be his "aces" but the guile and cunning are not there, probably never have been and his goal kicking is hardly faultless and his speed is just not seen anymore..
He's now played a half dozen origin games and similar amount of International's for Australia. He has done better than many of his peers, that through circumstances never got the same opportunities.
If we could unload him for a million, and reinvest that accordingly, I would not be uncomfortable, just like I was not uncomfortable in off loading (by default) Dyllan Brown.
In saying that and making Coryn more comfortable, the proviso is we attempt to replace like with like. i.e grab the half from North Qld that is no star but has the same attributes as current Moses and offer $2m to Herbie and the captaincy.
Broncos maybe interested in Moses, anyone that thinks Pezet is there answer would be happy with "old" Moses.
Pops the only thing Moses will do less of is run 50-60 metres for tries like he's done in his mid to late 20s those days I agree will be behind him.We have to look after this guy.
Onething I really dislike about his last 3-4 years is how much he's parked up on a certain side of the field. He should have a license to swing left and right when he sees fit that's onething he can do and as above he needs more talent around him and I mean real nrl talent not just plodders or worker types.
Been saying urgent athleticism for the last few years now that's the type Parra need to develop and target especially in the recruitment space.
💯 I almost get the feeling everyone expects Moses in whatever jersey he's in to pull a rabbit out of his ring to win games.Clark Kent step in to the telephone booth and becomes superman.Dead right Moses is exactly what an organising half looks like and it took years to be that one as he never was that until he got here.
All I'm hoping for is the club puts enough talent around Moses so we can see the best of him that for me is moreso the issue than anything Moses has or hasn't done.
I get the feeling most Eels fans only really want Moses to do everything in his power to stay on the paddock for Parramatta .
People ranting and raving like that is an unfair request . Its quite amusing considering people who'll bore us here to death with 20 page soap box seminars about their hatred of a US leader , will then turn around and sling shit at Eels fans because they are upset about Moses putting his rep career before his Eels duties at this stage of his injury plagued career .
Its quite amusing . Eels fans have been very tolerant of Mitch and his own goals outside of his Parramatta journey . They are hardly "Anti Eels sad sacks " for being dissapointed with him potentially derailing another pre season with his injuries.
It's not an unfair request at all. The guy is on mega bucks one of the highest earners in the game. He needs to realise his rep duties are now over and look to who is buttering his bread and respect that.
I'd like to understand why he seems to only get injured playing rep games. Is there something they do differently in preparation? If do this is pn Mitch to know his body and how he needs to prepare himself. As a professional athlete, he needs to know this.
It can be prep as rep training is mainly match preparation. So it can be very much on the go non stop and everyone is mostly involved. It can also be luck that it happens in those games, but the speed and intensity goes up a notch too.
Moses probably knows it, either ignores it or thinks he can get through. I mean everyone is human, we would all try and play on and do things slightly different to play for our state and/or country. Though in Origin this year, he was hurt doing extras. Why he needed to do it was ridiculous but that is on both Moses and NSW.
We invested in Moses, this is what we get as if he wants to keep playing rep footy and keeps getting picked, our hands are tied unless we just decide to move him on, them that process is harder said than done on it's own.
When it comes to injuries in game, sometimes it is just luck of the draw.
He puts in more for rep duties. His bodies not used to comimg out of second gear very often. If he's not catching and passing or catching and kicking , he's using muscles and bones he's not used to using...
No it isn't Macy. Parra have every right to ask him to step aside. Though Moses also has every right to say go and get f***ed. Nothing in his contract says the club can stop him from playing. So we can ask and talk to him, by all means. But him listening? Who knows.
I agree, at his age it is time to move on, he has played 8 Origins and 4 tests. More than 90% of Australian players in the history of the game have done. Playing for both is much more rare. Yes he is in an era where he could have played more in his prime but he has still done it.
He is 33 next year, time for him to now cement the legacy with a premiership. Though as well, i understand him wanting to play rep footy for the money and prestige around it making up for lost time.
