Bulldogs have pulled out of the race for Metcalf and his asking price is around 1 million dollars. Dragons most likely spot but to get him immediately I wonder if this means they will allow Sua to join us early to free up cap space to get Metcalf immediately. Just seems logical

We have mucho dinero and Braith is all about the lucre.
I like the idea. Drive the proverbial dumptruck full of cash around to his house and see what happens.
Totally correct Adam, his salary is/would be already well in excess of 1m plus and Fox love him....its nice to be loved.....you could ask MON of course but he wouldn't know?
Yeah but what's better than a 1M salary...a 2M salary...
Not in Daz's government hands LOL
PS Do you really want a bidding war with Fox Mitchy LOL
why would it be a bidding war pops, gus manages to work on 9 similar to what anasta does on fox
Daz, is your name really Prof Mark? (you can tell me I'm reeely good at secrets)
Randy, we are on good terms but that will change if you persist with silly remarks about my identity. Deal with my counter-argument to scapegoating directly, not via absurd insinuations. I thought we were on the same page about 'arguments' in general: they should be well-grounded not spurious
Are we agreed? A quick mea culpa will suffice
Daz in all respect you solely blame Ando for that? I think it was also about the head of the board too.....and tbh it was 10 yrs back; and he has worked with some decent clubs (Easts). But fair enough.....
Mitchy, thanks for making my point for me! Of course Anderson was part of a system that wasn't working. He was definitely accountable even if not solely responsible.
But that has been my point about scapegoating. Hence why I was surprised Chiefy offered Anderson as a model for a next GM. I was alluding to the absurdity of where scapegoating can lead: a little unhinged 'isolation' of one (MON in this case) breeds an idea of a single change will fix everything. Once the premise of that pseudo fix is accepted - it's all this one bad actor - saviors get offered up who are actually not assessed credibly. I mean just look at the Libs and One Nation attempt to link the housing affordability crisis to immigrants. Scapegoating non-whites won't addressing housing costs. Making speculating on housing the savior just free it from scrutiny. Scapegoating is always bad policy
But this has been my point. We won't get productive change out of scapegoating. We will only get knee jerk savior complex decisions.
Daz, I agree about the premise of your comment and will not comment on the political side for good reason; but suffice to say champ each to their own. I could debate with you all day.
Ando for recruitment would be fine for me as he has been in the system and knows his stuff and he is ex parra which is good; the salary cap drama was years back and in all honesty I would 'assyme' the current board would be hesitant to bring him back.
I have been harping on for a while now, the club should have looked at M Cameron (again ex Parra) to oversee things. He has grown in lengths from being a jr coach.
