Matterson defence is pretty good, if he has a decent off season he could get that bench spot, can play anywhere in the forward pack, so could be handy

I would understand if there was a kid in the lower grades that could be ready in 2027 as a Winger and just have to get them ready but there isn't. We do not have any Wingers coming through ready til at least 2028 and that is even a stretch. Simonsson is a fine player but man we can do better with what is out there currently. If anything Wingers seem to be a real gold mine of a position for 2027 and we are linked with nothing.
I say to myself, they will announce soon yadayadayada but we are 4 weeks from Xmas break and nothing. Even NAS has gone quiet. We will more likely be filling in the remaining spots with rookies.
