"Nooooo the Roosters wouldn't cheat
would they?"
would they?"
"Again, we play Sydney teams twice like Penrith and Dogs as they are rivals and draw big ratings. It so happens those two are really good at the moment so makes the draw look worse. Same with Souths and Roosters playing twice, Brisbane playing all…"

Looks like Eels v Storm for 24 rounds. AI my ass.
That would actually be funny to see
Round 2: Melbourne
Round 3: Melbourne
Round 4: Wests Tigers as Melbourne have bye
Round 5: Melbourne
Chat gpt can kiss my arse bazz
Can't wait for the full draw, you just know Parra are gonna get screwed.
Well we always play the bigger teams twice due to our viewership. Just fact.
But if we are a top 4 team nobody would complain as we feel confident beating everyone.
i just hate it when people say we get screwed by NRL when we still get 11 home games. We know who we are versing every week. Just the way it goes.
Look at Canberra you would say their draw was hard or difficult then when they started winning people said "oh it's easy" only cause they were winning their other games.
Question is why Tf do we have to play these big teams as a home game in brisbane
With the Darwin game gone we effectively had an extra home game. We asked about this during our SGA meetings and basically every club will make money or break even on 10 home games every year. The last 2 generally lose money. It's usually due to out of state teams whose fans don't travel.
When we played Melbourne at home in round 22 last year, we had a crowd of just 9,402. It was our second smallest crowd of the year, just ahead of the Titans. We had more fans at CommBank against the Dolphins.
So, clearly the club has looked at its options and decided that the easiest way to make up the shortfall in matchday revenue for one of our "bad" home games, is to take it to Magic Round.
Virtually every club does this. It's why sides like Penrith and Souths play matches in the bush and Manly goes up to the Central Coast.
Super that's a great explanation thanks. And I compeltely disagree with the club's thinking here.
The goal should be to play as many games at Commbank as possible. To give our NRL side the very best chance of winning each week. I'd aim to get 12-14 games at Commbank if it was possible by being the away side at Commbank too.
Who in their right mind would want to play the Storm in Brisbane during Magic Round?
I do wonder what the priority of the Executive is with decisions like these. Fiscal goals are admirable but winning should be the No 1 goal by some margin. No one cares if a side misses the Finals but "look at the extra revenue we made by taking a home game into hostile territory". We replaced Cowboys / Dolphins in Darwin, with Storm in Brisbane. FMD!
Agreed. We have basically just forfeited both Melbourne games. Parra v Melbourne used to be a big game, but fans need to believe we can beat them at their best to spend their hard earned cash. If we are in a position to realistically win every home game, people will attend more often.
